OT-Tie Dye Party
HI!
I must have missed the post about the tie dye party. What is it? Although tie die party sounds fun enough without the explanation. Is it out by you?
My husband and son will be camping with the scouts that weekend so it is just me and Brigid, but if it isnt a place for small kids let me know, I can maybe try to get a sitter.
Thanks for the info in advance!

We have (at our house) the "Sometimes Annual Back-to-School Tie Dye Party".
This will actually be the 4th year in a row that we have done this. We did it a time or two before, and a couple of times in our old house.
I provide all the the chemicals and dyes, you bring whatever you want to dye, a snack to share and your own beverages.
Liv will have a rehearsal that day, so I thought I would shoot for 3 pm, but if there was enough interest from those of you who travel farther and wanted to come a little earlier, I could probably do 2 sessions.
Children are welcome, but must be supervised as the dye is VERY permanent and can be messy. Brigid could play with my granddaughter, Riley (2) and the neighbors each have small ones too. Jack just turned 1, Kelsy is 2 and Caden is 4.
Most people bring 3-4 (or more) things to dye. Your imagination is the limit. I usually go to Goodwill, Salvation Army and other resale shops to find white or light colored 100% cotton things to dye. This is also a good time to salvage any light colored kids clothes that might be stained. I once had a mom run back home and go through her son's "give away" box for more stuff to dye. She salvaged a few things that she though he could never wear again. I am going to do sheets and pillowcases (if I can find them at resale) and David wants to do ball caps.
It is always fun, and I will provide directions for rinsing the items the next day. We can do this activity in the garage if it is raining, we have before!

Count us in! Brigid and I would love to come, and I will look this week at all of especially Noah's stuff that could use some brightening. How fun! We are going to disney in Dec and maybe I will make us some fun shirts to wear while we are there.
If you want to PM me the directions, time and number, I would love to come.
I may ask a friend if she wants to come too, so I have a driving and chase Brigid partner! If that is ok.
Thanks for the invite!

Hey Dawn,
sounds like so much fun....reminds me of my Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia days. My last tie dye shirt went to goodwill as it was a 4x and way too big now. Earl & I may come if things are settled down here. I'll have to let you know later, if its ok. Earl can't understand my facination with all things tie dye...LOL
