I had a magical morning already! I just returned from a yard sale and bought myself a TON of clothes for $30. Sizes 12, 14, 16,and 18. Pants and shirts. I am so psyched! I dream of being able to wear them this fall and winter.

Hope your day is magical, too!

I'm so excited for you. I know exactly how you feel.  I hope to fit into those sizes myself one day.

Nicolle, that is great about the clothing finds at the yard sale. Dave and I lived on clothing from charity resale shops through out our weight loss time. It is unbelievable what people practically give away price wise. I bought my first jeans ever at a resale shop.

Nice slow Sunday here.  I wish the weekend messages were on the net.  DW served at the pizza counter.  The hike inside has gotten to be too much for me.  I am hoping the non surgical weight loss will change that but it has been really tough even before I gained another sixty pounds.

So you have been forgiven?

The seller had just lost 65 pounds (using Alli and exercising) and wanted to get these clothes out of her closet so she knew she'd never go back. It was like we were meant to meet!

Dave and I are home for the day. We started out early, like 5 o'clock leaving the house this morning. So that means that I was up close to 415am.  I first dropped off all of my clean uniforms at work for me to wear for the next two weeks at work. I have a short week this and next week so all that I washed will get me through this week and then some.

We went to a worship service at 630am at the Sandwich Fare then walked around until we were able to get in and have breakfast at one of the early food places. Then we walked more, looked at all the live stock, crafts, home ec things, canning etc things. Then we ate at Fay's BBQ, listened to some of the live entertainment, saw the classic cars, commercial buildings - then stumbled into the car and drove to St Charles to the "Blue Goose" grocery store and picked up a few speciality things ( like S & W popcorn that is sold at the fair) not available at Jewel or Dominicks locally. Went to our local Ma 'n Pa grocery and got bread, deli ham, cream cheese. I came home and made my ham, asparagas and cream cheese roll ups for snacks. Actually one of them is more like a meal, very filling.

We are tired as we walked close to 5 miles or so my Garmin GPS pedometer says. That does not count the buildings I was in because it cannot read the sateilites (SP?) from inside. The actual reading was 4.35 miles.

Work tomorrow and also Tuesday then I am off for 5 days from work returning on Tuesday morning next week. I need the time off.

Hey guys,

Lisa, your picture is awesome!!!  You look wonderful my friend!

It was a very nice weekend.  Maddie had 2 birthday partys to go to and I just hung around the house this weekend.  I moved one of my bird houses that I had on my front porch and got stung by a bee.  The whole bird house is infested w/ bees!  I used a whole can of spray on it and there are still bees in the darn thing!  I think that I'm just going to throw the thing away.  Unless I wait until it gets real cold and pop the top of the house off and get the hives out.

Anyway.....I have been wearing capri's the past few days because the cooler weather and it seems that I have skiped over a size!  I went from size 18's to a 14.  16's are too big for me.  I'm not complaining though, I just wanted to share.  Also, last week Ryan took me shoping and I bought a size large top.  Not even a Xlarge!!!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Jen, sorry to hear about your dad,  I hope that he is doing OK, Cancer is such a nasty think, Hugs to you and your family

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Hi all!

Lisa, Great new picture!!

We have had a very busy weekend.  Saturday I went to one of the Kane center classes on behavior issues.  It was a good class and there were alot of pre op people there, with alot of questions.  After the meeting, a few people came up to me and asked  questions about my surgery.  It felt nice to help out others with their questions.  So many people have helped me out I felt good to return the favor.  I even told them all about this board and hope to see them here soon.  I still have to get my other new friend Karen signed on here too.

In the evening, we went out for dinner, which is still hard for me, and then went miniature golfing.  It was alot of fun to do something as a family after being cooped up almost all summer.  The kids fell asleep in the car, and off to bed they went.  Hurray!!

Today we went to Misiercordia fest, which we go to every year.  I love to support them as it is such a great place.  They give mentally and physically challenged individuals the best chance to live a normal life, especially people with down syndrome, and they have this fest every yr to raise money.  We had a great time!  We even attended an auction for the first time and bid on a Disney trip and won!!!  Since we are disney freaks, we are so excited.  Even more so since it was a trip for 2, so that means only big kids get to go.  YAHOOO!!  We already have a trip planned for December to take the kids for the Holidays.  This trip is for 4 days, so it is a long weekend for us to get away by ourselves.  We need it!

I made it through the fest with my little cooler in tow, and having one Irish sausage, which is very soft and easy to eat.  It tasted great and went down easy with lots of chewing.  I even managed to drink alot of water and we walked all over.  I am exhausted but a good exhausted.  I feel almost normal again.  Almost.

This is a busy week coming, tomorrow is 4 weeks since my bypass, and I see Dr. Wallace on Wed for my one month check up.  Hopefully it will go well.

I have rattled on long enough so I will say goodnite.

See ya all tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a great week!
