Welcome to the Illinois board and stop by often!  We LOVE to meet new friends!

Each docotr's protocol seems to be different, even with the liquid diet.  Ask yours if you can use sugar free popsicles and sugar free Jello.  These, along with broth were a live-saver for me and I did not find the liquid diet to be a problem at all.  On the other hand, I was on an ALL liquid diet, no solids at all (unless you count the popsicles and jello.....)

I wish you great luck on your pre-op diet and an uncomplicated surgery and a speedy recovery.

Welcome - great to have new people here. Congrats on your surgery date - Your ahead of me I will have surgery Sept 16th.

My physician has me on the Impact recovery starting 8th and with this I can have small meal, I was thinking I should be all liquid but he said just low cal.

I think you are doing really well, 6 pounds off in 4 days is awesome,

Thanks everyone for the hardy welcome.  I am sitting here at work doing some reports and checking my email, and I am very grateful that you replied to my post, because I am really craving that sams choice trail mix, but am trying very hard to stick to the diet today.  Especially since I have to go to a rehearsal dinner tonight and a have a wedding tomorrow to participate in.
I just feel badly because I didn't do so well last evening with the preop diet.  Anyone have a roll of duct tape laying around....
