Hi everyone! remember me??
It's karey!
I have been away for a bit while summer was here! i can't believe that we are in september already!! my kids are back in school and i have a bit more time to check in as i am not trying to work and entertain two kids! i have been loving life since lapband!! since may i have now lost 54 lbs! my husband had his lapband surgery in july and has already lost 41 lbs (both of our weights are including the 17 lbs during the 2 week liquid protein diet). i go for my third fill tomorrow and I CAN"T WAIT!! i have needed one for 3 weeks now! It's amazing how much energy i have!! i do speech therapy with babies part time in my town and the next. this summer i have begun riding my bike to work! some days i ride 15 miles, all before coming home at noon! my husband got a bike and he and i and the kids ride everywhere we need to go! it has been great "brain washing the kids!" lol i tell them everyday that we need to do something that "gets us moving" lol the one day my 4 year old jack said, "mom we haven't moved today!" we did, just not until that evening b/c it was too hot! another lifestyle change was that i have finally convinced my husband to get rid of his harley! woo hoo! he hasn't ridden it in 4 years anyway! it's been a 9 y.o. arguement that if he was going to spend "family money" on a luxury item, it should be something the whole family could use! so we bought a boat and have been going out every weekend and wow is that exercise like i never realized! monday mornings mike and i always say "wow i am in pain, but a good muscle pain!" i guess i never thought that when you are tubing, you are contracting so many muscles just to hold on! but then again, i wouldn't have gotten out of the boat b/c i would have been too self conscious to look like an idiot on the tube and/or trying to get back into the boat! anyway, just checking in! i am off to read updates on everyone! i bet everyone is doing great! carol, i have been meaning to call/email you! we need to meet up soon!

Nice to see you back, congrats on you lost and engery, you are doing good,
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
I don't remember you, because I'm new to the Illinois board. I noticed that you have Dr Joyce as your surgeon. I am going to Silver Cross for my wls too, but doctor is Dr Lahmann. How has your experience with the BMI center been so far. Any complaints? I go in for my first nutrition class and weigh-in tomorrow. You are the second I met here on the Illinois board that had their surgery at Silver Cross. I love this board.
