UHHGGGG  I'm back at work.  You will hear me say several times, I hate my job.  What's worse I work LOTS of overtime.  Because we are so behind but, also because I'm single mom and I need the extra money.  The only reason I am still here is for the insurance, I know that my insurance covers the surgery.

On a brighter note I had a great relaxing weekend.  My first weigh in and nutritional class is on Thursday!!!  WOOHOO I can't wait.  I heard they put you on a 1200 calorie diet.  OH my God I will be soooo hungry.  With that kind of diet I know I end up cheating.  I will need lots of luck.

Crystal, what kind of work do you do again?  I'm sorry you hate your job, I can honestly say that in all my years of working I don't think I ever truly hated a job I had.

Don't look at the "diet" as a "diet", look at it as starting your new life.  When you want to cheat, come here and read the boards.  If you want, I can give you my number and you can call me too!  We are all here to help you and you will do just fine!

Sort of glad there is a thread here today about work.  I would like to have some but am not having any luck convincing the state disability people that a guy with 137 hrs in computer science whose last job was doing everything at a small start up durable equipment company should not be looking at jobs as night auditors or desk clerks at a hotel.

Crystal.. we must work at the same place.  I love what I do, I just can hardly stand to work for my boss.  I worked between 25 - 30hrs OT a week for three years straight and then all of a sudden they decided no more ot and no more people.  They are actually trying to reduce the head count.  It stinks!

For me its the other way around.  I hate my work but I love the people I work with.  My boss is even a pretty nice boss.  She is 100% behind me getting the surgery and she asks me for updates on my progress towards getting approved from the insurance company.  The work on the other hand is boring.  I think the problem is that I have been working here for 6 years and I know my job backwards and forwards.  There's no challenge anymore.  No mental stimulation.  I can do it in my sleep.  There is talk about making me a manager, so I am looking forward to that.  A challenge!!!  Yeah!!!

PS- the bad thing is like you I have been working OT for 3-4 years, and now that I have actually become financially dependent on the extra money.  I will be in big trouble if they cut it.

Good morning Janet and the rest of Illinois!

We had a VERY busy weekend and yesterday was no exception.  Although we did laze about most of the early day (Todd did not really get moving until 1:30 pm!!!)

The barbecue was a great success thanks to Paul's rub and great neighbors.  After we finished eating, we had (what I have been told will be) the 2nd Annual-Labor Day-Yard Tractor Pulls in my driveway.  The neighbors had a competition to see whose yard tractor could pull the most.  (We don't own a yard tractor---or for riding lawnmower).  The former mayor won with his older International Harvester.  Funny what we do out in the sticks for entertainment.  I will post a couple of pictures along with a few from Saturday as soon as I get a chance.

So....back to work for me today.

I am still having a bit of a problem with nausea.  I guess I will keep an eye on it and call the doctor if it continues to be bothersome.  Odd.......I have never had any problems, and this morning, my protein shake made me sick to my stomach, and the thought of food is downright repulsive.....

I am making final calendar checks for the Tie Dye Party, and will let you all know as soon as a date is settled upon.  Anyone who wishes to join us is welcome.

Have a great day, and stay cool, although tomorrow, I may be telling you to stay warm.  Go figure....we must live in Illinois!

Tell someone that you love them!

Dawn, I'm sorry you still feel icky, that's odd.  I hope you get to the bottom of it soon.  The tractor pull sounds fun. See I could SO live out in the boonies and do stuff like that.  I love it out in the country.  I can't wait to go out to my mom's in Oct for that weekend.

Good Morning my IL family,

Today I plan on dropping off another application and stopping to visit a friend for a bit.  I will be doing homework and then I have no idea what else.

Our Labor Day was sad, since Charlie, our rat, died.  Jacob is wanting another one, but I am not ready to get more pets.  I have lost 2 in the last 2 weeks and right now the 3 we have left are good enough.  Funny thing is that Hank, our guenia pig was only supposed to live about 6-8 months after I brought him home (he's a rescue) and that was over 2 years ago!  lol  go figure.

I hope everyone had a great long weekend, I know that I thouroughly enjoyed my time at Paul and Liz's on Saturday!  I am going to be making some of those dishes for my neice's party this weekend.  This way I know that I will be able to eat stuff too.

Have a great day all and stay cool.

I work at a rehab supply company.  I work in the accounts receivable department.  Its just a very boring job.  I look through approx 100 pages of data downloaded from the bank and fix any errors that the bank or the customer made.  I balance to the customer's account.  Its as boring as it sounds.  I have to take a mental break every so often, which is why I'm on here.

As far as the diet goes, I know I have to look at as a life style change.  It just sounds like I'm going to be constantly hungry for the next 5 months.  Oh well its all worth it.  I would love any support from you or anyone.  I knew when I started this it wasn't going to be easy (unlike some people who think WLS is the easy way out).  I am very committed.
