Good morning everyone, so how was everyone's Labor Day, Mine was layed back and it was nice to just do nothing as the weekend was so busy, Today I am not doing much either as I can not  drive so  I am stuck home,  I hate this foot thing. any way my foot is doing better and only three more weeks and the boot can come off.

Good morning Friends!

Our Labor Day was quiet too. I got a lot of little things done over the weekend-loose ends and such. I have to go to las Vegas tomorrow for a conference. It will be 74 here and 101 there. Am I happy about this--guess not! I plan to stay in the hotel and not go outside. Anyway the conference takes the whole time which is fine. Having worked with compulsive gamblers, I am not a Las Vegas person. I hate gambling so I am taking my knitting and my books for the evenings.

I love Vegas, but I don't gamble, I like to watch people. lol  I used to go every Thanksgiving with my mom when I was single and a time or two when I first married Mike.  We had a blast.  My mom gambled a little and every single time would win at least a grand if not more...lol

Good morning Janet and Illinois Friends!

Well it is great to begin the week with a sigh of relief that Gustav was kind to New Orleans.  I am so happy for my niece.  I imagine she will be going home tomorrow when they let the business owners back into the city so that she can check on her store.  She was so afraid of losing everything.  It sounds like the national guard did a wonderful job of patrolling.  Thank you to our dedicated men and women. 

It is another hot one today!  Yesterday I tried to stay cool.  Was glued to the TV most of the day.  Did get away to go get groceries and cat food that could not be bought at Trader Joes.  Caught up on my newspapers as well.  Pretty much a relaxing day. 

Hopped on the scale this morning and my stall is broken!  Woo hoo!    I hate these stalls. 

Nancy, I will pray that your daughter's store didn't get much damage at all!  I am thankful that Gustav decided to go down to a Cat 2 before making landfall too!  Let us know how she fairs!

Where is a Trader Joe's in Illinois. I hear so many ppl talk about it and have never seen one. And I hope your daughter's store is ok.

You could do a store locator thing on their web site and get a better idea than I will give you.  I have been to one on Rand South East of 53.

There are Trader Joes in a variety of suburbs.  You can find one that is closest to you by going to Traderjoes.com and click on locations.  I went to one in Lake Zurich.  There are ones in Arlington Heights, Algonquin, Glenview, Nort Brook to name a few. 

Your closest Trader Joe's is on Monroe St. in Madison.
