Sunday Roll Call

Good Afternoon!

What a great day yesterday!  Again Paul and Liz THANK YOU for a wonderful day!  We cant wait for the next one! 

Today is my dad's birthday and we are going to meet him and his girlfriend, my uncle, and the four of us at Hackney's.  I know that they at least have soup and cottage cheese so I am good. 

I slept like a rock last night.  My kids fell asleep on the way home and stayed sleeping til this morning.  Hurray for outside air!
Both Jeff and I fell asleep in the family room and he woke us up and we dragged our tired selves upstairs and crashed.  Today I am exhausted but feeling good.  It is a good tired I think, just getting out of the house was awesome!!

Today I am working on getting more fluids in, I did not do so good yesterday with all that wonderful food there!  Who knew healthy could be so good?  Hurray for US!

I am off to shower and get ready for our next adventure so talk to you all tomorrow!

What can I say...I had SO much fun at Paul and Liz's yesterday, putting the faces with the posts I've read online.  The food was indeed deee-lish especially Paul's pulled pork, which was juicy enough even a newbie could eat  I have to admit though, the highlight of the afternoon for me was playing "splasketball" in the pool with Eileen & Jeff's son, Noah. I'm really glad this board exists. It's helped keep my spirits up during this very unusual time in my life.

I'm a little late but I was invited over to the Illinois board.  So here I am.  I am just starting my six month doctor supervised diet and am very excited to be finally doing something that will finally get this weight off me.  I feel like I'm a prisoner in my own body.  I can't wait to be parolled.

Oh my gosh I just realized that I am having my surgery the same place you had yours.  I am seeing Dr Lahmann at Silver Cross.  Dr Joyce is the other doctor in the office I go to.  What a small world.  How have you like the BMI center.  So far I think its great.  The nutritional classes and the excersise physiologist, it all seems so nice.  Its nice to find some one who had surgery where I will.

I am home, Got here about 3:15 It as an exhausting day. I left Paulettes house with her and earl taking me to Ohare at 4:30am. I had a 07:15 flight to Atlanta then to Sarasota at 12:45.
Get this I get home and my GPS is missing from my purse. I called Paulette and it isnt in her car. I think TSA at Ohare stole it out of my checked luggage!!!!! I am so mad the stupid thing cost 400.00!!!!! They didnt take my camera though!!!!!
Anyway I had a great time visiting with everyone at Paul and Liz. I want to come to another one soon!!!!!
Well I am so tired I think Ill colapse!!!!!

Glad that you made it home safe and sound Carla.  That stinks about the GPS though.  I'm sorry that happened! It was great seeing you yesterday, I am SO glad that you made it up here!

Hi Carla, it was nice to meet you Saturday! I think you get the prize for traveling the farthest! If only the prize could be a new gps! That really sucks that it was missing when you got home. Hope you were able to get some rest.
