Dr. Lahmann or Dr Joyce
Does anyone have Dr. Lahmann or Dr. Joyce as a doctor at Silver Cross Hospital?
I had lap band on 2-01-07 and was trying to find a doctor closer to home. Its hard to
find a doctor that will take new patient that had surgery with someone else. I did sent my operative report to Silver Cross. I was just hoping someone can tell me anything about them or recommend them. Thank You for any help.
I did not go to these doctors but they are listed on this web site for following up other doctor's patients after having surgery http://www.asbs.org/cgi-bin/membertest3.pl I think they are listed as 34 & 35 in the list. Look for the code of "FOLL" You can check out the site with you zip code for closer doctors.

Thank You for all your help. I have a consultation with Dr. Lahmann in a few weeks. My doctor was Dr. Myers at Dayone in Chicago. I like him but its getting really hard to get downtown. (I hate driving down there) First appt. is 3:30 and only on Thurs. so it makes it hard. I would have to take off work for every appt. Silvercross will be alot closer. Carol I recently moved to Frankfort and before that we lived in Tinley. Where do you workout at? My advice for someone that is getting lap band is to think about the after care. Its not just getting surgery then you are done. Where do people go that have it done in Mexico? A lot of doctors won't see other doctor patients. I got lucky that SilverCross will see me. Do they have support groups? Thanks again.

Hi Theresa, I lived in Frankfort before moving to Orland.
Silver Cross Bariatric patients have use of the cardiac gym three days a week. You have to get a release from the doc before attending the gym orientation. Support group meetings are the last Tuesday of the month at 6:00PM in the building you will be going in to see the doc. The floor you enter on is actually the 2nd floor and their office is on the 1st floor. When you enter the building the support group meetings are held in the office on the left, the cardiac gym is on the 1st floor. You will pass it as you make your way to the doctors office.

Carol,
I wanted to tell you I made your chicken salsa recipe Sunday. It was sooo good and my husband loved it. I have appt. on Sept. 24 with doctor Lachmann. It was either 8:30 on Sept. 19 or 11:00 on Sept. 24. I worked till 11:30 p.m. so I picked the later one. (Maybe I would have ran into you) .I hope it goes good and I can get back to the losing side. Thanks again
P.S. I really should intro myself to this forum you guys seem so helpful and nice. I always look but only asked a couple of question in the beginning. Support makes all the difference in any stage you are on with this journey.

I'm glad you and your husband enjoyed the salsa chicken!
My appointment on the 19th is at 10..then I have to go to the office and get vitamins, so we might not have met since your appointment would have been so much earlier. Do you go to the support group meetings? Please introduce yourself to the Illinois board. Don't be a stranger!
