Monday Roll Call, Augest 25th

August 25? Already? Man, where did the summer go??

With this amazing weather, it seems crazy to stay inside if you don't have to. In a few minutes, my kids are going to hop in my bike trailer and we'll take a ride up to the bakery to order the older boy's b-day cake. And of course, while we're there, we'll just HAVE to indulge in some decadent sweet treats! (I think it's a bakery rule!)

My big boy is starting kindergarten next week, so I am getting a little clingy. It's hard to believe he will eventually enter high school! (Sniff, sob!)

Good Morning everyone!

Today we get to finally find out who my son's teacher is! We have to drive up to the school, which I think is a little silly, but oh well.... I can't believe school starts next week!!
Once the little boy I watch gets here, I am packing up the 4 kids and heading to payless. We are having a hard time finding gym shoes for my son anywhere! You would think around the beginning of the year many stores would carry shoes without black soles! lol
We also need to pick up some folder fro my younger son, then we are DONE with supplies!! They could use some more clothes, but I don't have the finances to do that this week. At least they both have new outfits for the first few days, and new shoes, that's all that matters right now

Aside from all that, not much else going on today. Just hoping I get more RSVP's for my son's b-day party this weekend!

Tell me about it, I looked at 4 walmarts,2 targets, khols and then the last walmart I found gym shoes. I think every little boy is wearing a size 1 this yr. Oh went to 2 payless too. I made my rounds from Peoria to Galesburg 42 miles between the two towns. I live in the middle.

I went to Kmart today, and found a pair of velcro shoes with white soles for $7.99!!! PERFECT!!

Hi Carla and the rest of Illinois!

I am home today, feeling a bit under the weather.  Liv was sick yesterday, vomitting in the morning and complaining of stomach pain and headache.  I had a horrible headache yesterday and today have a bit of that, plus I can't seem to stay awake.  My stomach seems pretty much OK, but a bit queasy.  I just feel "blah".  I guess I need the rest.  Plus...I am FREEZING!

We had our grandaughter all weekend and it was fun.  She is such a "pickle".  She is talking a lot now and that makes it easier to communicate.

Glad to see that Eileen is home and on the mend, and also glad to see Catzie is scheduled and we have MORE new members!!!!

Paulette, Do what is roght for you.  We will be here for support and friendship no matter what your decision is.  There used to be a board here for non-ops-----I don't know if it is still here or not.  We love you no matter what!

Do get those "first day of school" pictures taken, we took the kids picture each year in front of same tree.  Amazing how they compared yearly.

Good afternoon Carla and my Illinois family!

I'm posting late today as I was up and out early this morning. Had to go feed and take out Dunkin. I swear he is NOT my dog. Doing it again tomorrow morning. Last time thank goodness!  I love the dog but I would rather have all 4 of the grandkids at once than to take the dog overnight again. Once Jenn gets home from Texas (she's with her parents visiting her brother) it won't be my job any longer....hurry home Jenn...no flight cancellations allowed tomorrow.
