Good morning to all my friends  in Illini Land. What has been going on in your world? I was busy doing lots of things around the house yesterday and really only had time to lurk. We took a drive out to St Charles because there is a statuary place that had something Dave has wanted for the yard for a long time. A little boy sitting on a bench with his arm around his puppy dog. It is made out of concrete and really is not that heavy. I can lift it. We just need to place some paving blocks down on the mulch so they are level and then place our new "child" in the garden. We also like a grocery store out there called Blue Goose. It is sort of a Whole Foods, not as much organic but great quality. All the foods from the produce, deli, meats, fish are top notch. It is not cheap but definitely nicer than Jewel. I wish we had Woodman's near us. I got a lot of chores done in the house yesterday due to the nasty humidity, so I was a captive audience to get things done.

We finally got our computer router problem resolved. Mark came over last night. We were having freqency issues in the house. He had to change it to a different channel within the program. While Mark was over I got another accent pillow cut out and partially sewn.

Well, Dave needs to go to a computer store to return the router we bought and pick up a wireless internet card for his tower computer upstairs because the internal card is going on it. I have a bridal shower to go to. Yuck, I opted remember for the gift card. Dave will drive me to the shower from Naperville and go by my brother because it is his birthday today.

Nancy - love the new pic of you!!!

PS as promised here is a link to a great site for researching tomato problems http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/tomatoproblemsolver/index .html for me it looks like I have (had - as the plants a dead) a powdery mildew issue. What my sister said to do is Google tomato diseases and the first site that comes up is called "tomato problem solver".

Good morning Christine and Illinois!

I was up earlier than usual today as I am dog sitting for my son and of course the dog needed to go out early. His name is  Dunkin and he's have sharpae(sp) and bloodhound. I will post a picture of him and my son together. He's five months old. I don't think I will do this again....too much work.

Today I need to go shopping for a new microwave...mine took a dive and I use it a lot. I am lost without it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, I would start with the eggs first instead of the protein drink. The liquid goes right through your pouch hence you will have a hunger pangs shortly afterwards. I would reverse the drink with the eggs. Denser proteins will stay in the pouch longer. Another thing you need to consider is it really hunger or head hunger?

You are going to be able to eat more the longer out you get. Do not get too freaked out by it. The key is to make sure that you are making life style changes to replace the food in your life with something more productive.

Thanks Christine I am going to try eating first today and see what happens, I think that alot of it is head hunger as I am layed up with this foot thing and with nothing to do I want to eat,  I will have to be strong and over come the urge to eat.

My Sunday is consisting of working all afternoon till 5.
Not sure what I am going to do after work.
It rained most of the night here down in Florida but it is nice now.
Still trying to find a cheap fare to Chicago on Friday, But no avail. The times comming back to Florida on Saturday night or Sunday morning isnt working in my favor. I have to be back on Sunday to work by 11am. So I dont think Im comming this next weekend.
Maybe next time.
I do need to get there and help my daughter do some things in our house there. Mysister in law isnt being very nice to help her clean. I know she cant do a lot of house cleaning but at least she can clean up after herself and she doesnt do that. She thinks my daughter has to cater to her every whim. She has parkinsons and makes everyone know how sick she is or isnt. When she wants to do something she finds a way to go or do it.
Well enough ranting today. I need to go and get ready for my day at work.

Good morning Illinois!

It's great to see new people checking out the board. It gives us a chance to pass it forward. We don't have any plans for today, but something usually comes up. The party we went to last night was fun. Knowing the food in advance (it's always the same) helps me plan, and I really enjoy the people!

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning everyone!!

My hubby is working today, so I am just going to clean up from my Tastefully Party last night, and catch up on the laundry that I didn't do while he was home. Whenever my hubby is home, I get nothing done, because I don't feel like cleaning when he is just sitting around! lol
I also have to get the school supplies organized to see what else we need to buy. We have supply drop off coming up, so I better get moving!
We hit up the jean sale at Old Navy yesterday, it was CRAZY!!! We did get 4 pairs of jeans for my oldest, 2 for my hubby, and 3 for me. I bought my current size, and the next 2 sizes down, which I can't WAIT to fit into I just couldn't pass up the deal with them only being $12!

Hope everyone has a great day! Looks like we are going to have some nice weather!!

Good Morning my IL family,

Chris that statue that you guys got sounds so adorable.  Where is that statuatory place in St Charles?  I know where Blue Goose is! lol
You sure were busy yesterday and will be again today!

Today is just a get things done day. I have to run to the post office, Target (need a belt as my pants are falling down!) and also to Best Buy to see if they know what's wrong with Jacob's PSP game.
Tyler is next door helping our neighbor sand their kid's huge wooden play set and Jacob will be coming with me.

I will also be doing laundry and making sure the kids have all they need for school tomorrow.  I am still job hunting and so far nothing...this stinks but hopefully someone will call back.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!

Monica

Monica, go past the Blue Goose on 2nd St (Rt 31) until you come to the light at Main St (Rt 64), continue through the intersection and the first street on the left side (and you can only turn left) is Cedar St. Go down about 1 block and Johnson Statuary is on your right side. There is a parking lot right next to it that you can park in. They have all kinds of large, small, tiny statues, planters, benches. Some of them are just adorable. There is one of a little girl laying on her tummy reading a book and she is laying on a bench. What we got was only $103 with tax.
