Wednesday Roll Call

Lisa, yes I can curl up in my recliner almost in a fetal position and sleep on my side. But today I needed to get up and get going because there was a "small" piece of paperwork on my desk that needed MAJOR attention. So, therefore my brain was not being able to rest again.

Good morning Christine and the rest of my Illinois friends!

I was up at 4, then did the stationary bike for 12 miles, so that is an increase of 1. 

At lunch, I need to run and pick up more fruit for the lemonade stand and some volleyball shorts for Liv.  I don't know WHY they now have special shorts for volleyball (or all sports for that matter), but she has to have them as part of her uniform.  These are the timy little spandex shorts that daddies hate.

After work, David and I are signed up for the lemonade stand, and LIv and Dad will go to orientation.  Busy, busy.......

I agree that gift cards work wonders, especially these days when we are all so busy.  I still like to pick out special gifts for very special people/occasions, but sometimes, a gift card is the right answer.

I sure wish Christina finds the perfect job soon, and Monica too.

Glad to hear that at least Nancy has one job that she loves!  My job is pretty good, but I think they all get old after a while.  We have been a bit slow lately, which makes it hard to fill up the hours, but I STILL HAVE to be here.  Sometimes, my mind is filled with all the other things I could be spending this time doing.  On the other hand, I would not be getting paid for those "other" things, so here I sit.

Connie----that convention sounds like fun.  Enjoy yourself....you deserve it!

Lisa--I hope that your daughter is feeling back to normal soon.  Once she is home, things should even out.

I was very glad to see Lucy posting again, I hope she stays around to hang with us, we need her perspective!

Yeap - got a gift card which is so easy to carry into the bridal shower or travel out on the train with. AND Dave and I have also thought long and hard and found out that we had already made plans for their big wedding day. WOOHOO, another wedding we do not have to give a gift for.

Good Morning!  Finally getting to post on the roll call.  Today is day 7 post op and I am still on clear liquids and getting hungry.  Tomorrow is the return Dr appt and will be going to soft diet, can't wait.  Last night was the first night I was able to sleep on my back in a bed....progress is being made

Chris, I hate waking up like that, I too have lots of nights where the mind keeps spinning and I can;t get back to sleep. So either I go find some boring chore to do so maybe I get sleepy again or end up in the recliner to cat nap.  Makes for long days though.

Not much going on here, with the grands back in school it is quiet here. Yesterday I finished up a craft we had started. (Big Mistake Craft)  I picked out these "cute" feather turkey things for them to do with me. Well the pieces were way to small for them and way too much glue and feathers flying everywhere. They lost interest quickly so I got to do them, had to use a magnifying glass and tweezers. Then realized they are supposed to be pins(NOT) so I still have to glue magnetic tape on them, we'll use them as refrigerator magnets, I think. What a mess!!!  And this craft said it was for children age 6 and up, what a crock!  Lets hope the painted turkeys and pumpkins go better!  Sometimes I don't know what I was thinking!

Paulette, the only problem with Dave and I sleeping in the living room for the summer on our new Murphy Bed is that there aren't any doors to block out the sound of me stirring around. I like to make my coffee, breakfast and then hop into the shower.

I just found out that Dave never even heard me this morning. I started a load of laundry, took a shower, made toast, fried an egg , made a snack for midmorning, got my uniform out for the day yadayadayadayada . . . . . . . . .

Did you all miss me? I haven't been on in a week...I feel like I've been running a bed and breakfast! First my MIL stayed with us for a week and then my daughter and the children spent the weekend with us while her husband worked nights. He didn't want the preggo to stay home alone with the kids. MIL went home last night! Now it's just me all day...woohoo! I've just got to clean the bed and breakfast, I mean my house,  then get some laundry done.

I figured since all of you are on in the morning I will try and post too.

I had a horrible night sleeping again. For the past 5-6 months everytime Aunt Flow comes I get this pain that actually wakes me up around 2:00 am, for about 5 days.
I always thought it was my band. Well this month I decided I"m going to watch what I eat and be very very careful during Aunt Flows visit.
The pain is here again. So I think its "girly" related problems.
I will be making an appointment today to see what the heck is wrong with me.
