Good Morning All,

Today is my first day back to work and already its a "bad day". I can't get onto my programs, the system is down, again, and my passwords won't work. Plus, I am out of timesheets, and no one in our main office has any idea where some blank ones are. A typical day.

Otherwise, I have already been to Walmart, and picked up more frabric for some rugs. So, when I get home, I will tear all of it into strips to be able to use it when needed. That is also a good stress releaser.

It is nice to see that Lucy is back among us, where are Jenn and Marilyn? Also Ronna?

Have a great day,
Hugs

Good morning all!
It looks like everyone is having a busy day.  I have my granddaughter today, she's 10 months old, and is a real spit-fire!  The days that I have her always busy.  I'm trying  to get out with some friends later.  Hope that everyone has a great day!

Good morning folks! I have been very busy with getting my 2 grandsons ready for school they go back Friday! That means back to the bus for me too! Kinda looking foward to it. I have been up to the chicago area so much lately that I am begining to feel comfortable with the traffic. We have rush hr but up north its like an amusment  ride. I just love it!

Glad Lucy came back to us and glad she felt comfortable enough to share her pain with us! Lucy just know you are loved by us here!

Well gotta go not feeling to great at the moment, my youngest grandson had some chips this morning and I did a  no no wait a big NO NO I ate a few and now they are tormenting  me so I am going to go walk it off. Later boys and girls!

Good Morning Paul and my IL family

Cool about the pool table, we had one in from Mike's old house and when the movers moved it they broke it, but we didn't notice right away and now we can't find the replacement piece it needs because it's so old.  Oh well.  I'm looking forward to the meet and greet, it will be good to see everyone again and meet the ones I havne't yet.

As for me today, nothing really planned other than my walk with the dogs later. I will do some cleaning, homework and reading today...that's about it

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning/afternoon friends,

My day is a little hectic too. I've been trying to get my course up on our electronic blackboard so the students can access the lectures and it isn't taking the the material or it takes it several times. What a pain. I understand the time sheet thing--mine's about the same!

A couple of my lecturers are moving away--at least this fall is covered. What a deal! This is the kind of day my motto annoys me "It's a mark of leadership to adjust". I just want to not adjust!

Oh well, there is always the Olympics tonight to distract me.

Have a good day folks!

Good Evening my soon to be Illionis friends

Since loosing my weight I have so much energy. I came home from work and mowed the grass in the back yard. Yes, its over 100 degrees too. I barley broke a sweat.

No offeres on the house yet now even a showing.
I'm keeping my hopes up that it will happen.

I did get some great news from my job here in AZ. He's going to allow me to work for him but from IL... Yes, I have a job...

Have a great evening!

Good Evening all!

Well, today is one week and one day since my surgery.  I am doing ok, I still do not have much energy and I am hoping when I move more after this drain gets out, I will build my energy back up.

My drain is leaking around the sutures and still draining about as much as after surgery.  Is that normal?  Will they still take it out if it is draining does anyone know?  It kind of bothers me, and for some reason today is feeling like it is pulling.  It is a littled red around the site, and the PA said to put neosporin around it so we will see how it goes.  I have my follow up apt with Dr. Wallace on Thursday morning.

I am finally getting the hang of the whole eating schedule thing, although still getting in enough fluids other than the "meals" is still hard.  Not enough mins in the day.

My kids are home full time now!  Hurray!  Susie, my neighbors daughter came over tonite to help with bedtime as my husband was at a meeting.  SO we are all sleeping under one roof for the first time in a long time!  That makes me happy.

Now, I need to come up with some ideas for tomorrow to keep them busy.  I may try the pool if one of the older girls can come along to help with Brigid.  I can sit in the shade and at least be outside and the kids can burn off some energy.  It may be a little adventurous so I will have to see how I feel in the am.

I just RSVP'd to Paul for the meet and greet since I seem to be getting better everyday, I should be good to go by then.  I am excited to meet everyone and my kids always love a good party!

Well, that's all the news for today.  I hope everyone has had a great day!

Eileen:

I had my surgery the 15th of July. The drain also bothered me and I couldn't wait to get it out. I had trouble sleeping because I had to lie on my back. I was very tired after surgery but now five weeks out, I am much better and taking long walks. Just don't over do it. It is all up hill from where you are...just be patient and rest a lot. The walking each day, even just around the house, helped me gain my strength back and of course all the protein, etc.

Hello my Illinois friends!

I know I don't write or reply too much, but I do enjoy reading your blogs on here.  I'm so glad to hear your all doing well.  It seems I get on here at the wrong times, you all are early birds and I'm a late night person.  Anyhow I hope you all have a great week.
