Well, about a few months ago when we started remodeling our living room and put the Murphy Bed in it to extend our guest/sleeping space (yes the bed disappears and you just see book shelves during the day) I had decided to update my family picture wall. Well, I am the youngest of 7 and Dave (oldest of 4) and I have not had any kids. So all of our pictures are of moms, dads, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews - yes I am from a verrrrrrrry large Catholic family that does not believe (or figured out the rythm method) in birth control!  Just recently I found a place on the internet that would do (matted and framed) each of our family crests and then have a "marriage coat of arms in the center" with our wedding date in the middle. Well, I ordered it tonight.

Last Friday morning I ordered our new occasional chairs for the room from Crate & Barrel. Unfortunately one of the pieces will not make it before we have our friends in from FL the first weekend of Oct but oh well, as it took me a while to figure out what I wanted in there. This last Saturday I found the perfect fabric to recover a chair seat for in there. It is all done. I love it. I forgot that I had the talent to use a sewing machine and a staple gun. Well, actually I had to pull out my instruction book to thread the machine and add matching thread to a new bobbin AND I had not had anything to drink before that! Dave and I are hosting a party at our house for all of our mutual friends that we have made over the years. Dave and I are really looking forward to them coming to visit and the party.

Well, getting back to what I found - Dave and I in our early years of our our marriage were still photography picture people. We mainly took wedding pictures. Well, Dave had great photo equipement back then and we had a friend take all of our wedding pictures - candids and protraits. Well, tonight I found the negatives. I have a gadget that came with my scanner that you can put negative strips in and scan and save the pics. I want to replace some of our formal wedding pics from the ceremony, altar pics and aisle pics of the parents and us of course. The olds ones have turned yucky in the frames and the frames are dated.

Need to get to bed here soon after I have a small snack.
