Monday Roll Call
I haven't posted much, but I have been lurking. I am still unpacking from moving from the small apartment on the third floor to the larger apartment on the second floor. But, I do have the computer and internet up and running. My son starts the 8th grade on the 25th and he has gotten to a point where I can not find clothes that fit him. He is either too tall, or too skinny. He is right now in a growth spurt so I am only buying the minimum and will purchase more here in about a month or so. I do need to finish getting school supplies for him, and it seems that the list keeps getting longer and longer and much more expensive. My new class starts tomorrow so, it will be back to homework and no free time.
Now for the WOW moments and NSV. My scale is registering 167, which is 85lbs lost. I had to go and buy a new pair of blue jeans as the 14s were just two big and looked like I had a load in the backside. I ended up buying a size 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it just amazes me everytime.
I am slolwly getting back to my workout schedule, but it is a chore to do...but I am getting there. I made some protein ice cream this weekend, thanks to Egg Face. I tried to make a carmel apple or applie pie type icecream by using NSA apple pie filling blended and while it was not successful in the flavor department it was still a good cinnamon flavored ice cream. I am now making plans to make some pumpkin and I bought some SF Kaula syrup so I am going to try making a chocolate/coffee protein icream using it.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!
Well it is one week today and everyone was right it did get better. I have figured out a protein drink that I can handle and am doing better on my fluids. I took a walk yesterday with my daughter and will do one later again with her. Hurray!
I can feel my legs getting weaker, so I know I need to get moving. My son is coming home tonite and I am ready to see him for sure! He can be a big help and it will be good for us to have some one on one time.
I went into the liquid diet at 342 and now am 326! I know you gain some fluid with surgery so I figure by now it should be evening out and this will be my true weight.
My drain is leaking around the site but the nurse practitioner said that was ok. The site is also a little pink so she said I could put some neosporin on and watch the site. My drain is draining still about 35-60 cc every time I empty it about 2-3 times a day. Does that seem like everyone else?
Thanks for all your support and kind words!
Have a great week everyone!
Eileen
Good Afternoon to All,
This is the first time I was able to spend on OH today. I left for Bloomington at 5:15 A.M. this morning. My daughter was supose to have surgery at 9:00a.m., they moved it up to 7, and I got there at 6:30 and they had already taken her up. Bottom line, she is good, no cancer, and was loaded with fibroid tumors. The Dr said she will be feeling 100% better within 2 weeks.
Yesterday was a gofer day for DH, and tomorrow I am back to work. Summer is over.
Y'all have a great afternoon and evening.
Hugs
Still need to do a few more things before the end of the day.
Hope you all had a blessed day.
Chris
