Monday Roll Call
Well it is the beginning of another week as the summer runs down and kids start back at school this week.
Where DID the summer go? It is time to get off to another fun filled week. Lots of exciting moments ahead this week. We have a little one in our family starting kindergarten and another starting first grade. It doesn't seem possible! The kindergartner is full of first school jitters and is not a good one for rules. I pity her teacher. She is a little imp and I love her spirit but she will probably spend a lot of time in "time out." She did at Montisori and she realizes that kindergarten is not going to be any easier. I love her spirit and creativity! I have to laugh at the trouble she creates. Can we say 'I love Lucy?"

OMG, she sounds like fun. Kids are so much fun. I hope that all goes well. I am still trying to get back on track, it's a little harder than I thought. My DH and I went to see Koozie yesterday afternoon. It was absolutely great! It's amazing to see how they can balance and contourt(?) their bodies. I hope everyone has a great day.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Today is Boniva day, so I have to kill some time before eating or taking meds so figured I'd pop in here. The hubby is off to the VA this am for labs & meds. He has 2 VA appts coming up in the next week. This week in Chicago at the Rheumatology Clinic and next Mon for the regular doc.
Our oldest granddaughter starts 1st grade today. She is quite the little lady. I was at their house for a bit yesterday and she had to show me that she got her backpack ready for school by herself. All of her new supplies inside, labeled & ready. She's excited to see her freinds from kindergarten and meet some new ones too. She already knows her teacher and said she is really nice. The other one doesn't start till next Monday, 4 yr preschool, 3 days a week. She said she'd rather come to "Nana School", it's more fun! We work on things here that she needs extra help in with breaks for play time. But she will do fine, she has the same teacher as last year.
We played alot yesterday with our new WII FIT. Just love it. DD & SIL and grands all had to check it out. I was able to do 10 mins on the step aerobics, Love the balance things they are fun, tilt board and downhill skiing. I have never skied in my life and I know this is not even close but it was so much fun. After I loose some more weight who knows myabe I'll try the Bunny Hill. My brother and his family all ski. He used to work at a Ski Place in High School & College and is pretty good I'm told. The only winter sport (?) I ever did was ice skate, but I used to love that, maybe winters will become fun again...especially with the grands, they like sledding and tobagganing.

Nancy, your kindergartner sounds a lot like my Liv when she was smaller (actually, still). Thank you for reminding me how others see her as "spirited and creative". I need that reminder sometimes, because a lot of the time, it is kind of hard not to throttle her.
(Not really, but you get what I mean.) We always say that she lives on "Planet Olivia" to describe her to a "T".We have a busy week also. Tonight is Rockford support group, Wednesday is Liv's orientation to the "big school", we are working the lemonade stand at the fair both Wednesday and Thursday nights, and David's football begins Friday night with a scrimmage. WHERE did the summer go?
It is SOOOO nice to see some new "faces" posting. We LOVE new friends!!!

Sorry I have been such a stranger but I have been lurking when I can. It's been a busy summer with camping and work. I have been dealing with right leg pain and found out that I may need back surgery. I am getting a 2nd opinion today and 3rd one tomorrow. If I would have the surgery I would have to be off work for 8 weeks. I am hoping that another solution will work for me because I cannot take that much time off. The main issue is that I can't walk for very long and pain meds just aren't working. I am supposed to get another steroid shot Thursday so I am hoping that will give me some relief while explore all my options. In the meantime I am doing ok with my food still losing slowly.

I actually got out of bed and took a walk this morning before hubby and kids awoke. I am so out of shape, but at least I'm getting out there and doing something.
We homeschool 2 of our 3 kids - the youngest starts preschool tomorrow. We're taking him to drop off his supplies today. The other two are in kindergarten and fourth grade
My medical history is completed except for one question, then it will be ready to drop in the mail. Once they get it, I will get set up for an appt w/ the surgeon. Yay!

Good Morning my IL family
School doesn't start until next Monday for my kids here, so this week will be getting all the last minute stuff done. I have one going into 5th, one into 7th and the oldest is a Freshman this year. 3 kids, 3 different schools! yikes. I am hoping to hear about the job at Banfield Pet Hospital too.
Today I am going to my sister's for a Mary Kay thingie....the lady didn't show last week, so we are trying this again. I don't plan on buying anything as it's so expensive, but my sister needs some moral support she says...LOL It's okay, it will get me out of the house too for a while, which is good. After that, it's pick Tyler up at football practice and then home for a long walk with the 2 pups.
Other than that, nothing planned and I'll just do whatever for the next few days. I have no appetite and just no energy, but crying does that to you. I'm hanging in there though.

I can not believe it is back to school time already! My kids don't start bac****il September 4th and 8th. (My 1st grader on the 4th, my preschooler on the 8th) All of the kids I babysit for have parents starting back soon. One starts tomorrow, 2 more start on the 2nd!
Today we are just relaxing. I spent a lot of yesterday working on my online courses, so I need to try to spend some more quality time with the boys today
