Support Groups in Marion or Carbondale area

Does anyone know if there are any support groups in the Marion or Carbondale area?  My sister is going to have surgery but needs to attend 3 meetings before surgery and she is having a hard time finding a group.  Any help would be appreciated.

There is one at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.  I believe it meets the 1st Thursday of each month.

Who is your sister's surgeon, and where will the surgery be at?  I am curious because my sister-in-law is wanting to have surgery and has an Illinois medical card.  She is looking for a surgeon closer to our area, and is having trouble finding a surgeon.  I had my surgery with Dr. Argotte in Paducah, KY at Lourdes Medical Center, but Dr. Argotte does not accept the Illinois medical card.  My insurance covered it, so I didn't have a problem.  Thanks for your help.

I don't know the name of the surgeon but he is in Urbana.  When I talk to my sister I will ask her.  She has the medical card also.
