Good Morning my IL family
Looks to be another beautiful day outside again. I wi**** could be like this all year round, that would be perfect for me. Saturday was a busy and emotional day with friends coming over to say good bye to Shane and he had a really bad day and night. In the evening my mother in law called and said she was taking us out to dinner, well now, who I am to object to that? lol I ordered a broiled stuffed flounder, it was delish and I had lunch from it yesterday too! My sister in law and niece were over so they came to dinner too and then we went home and watched the Olympics. Sunday we really didn't do too much, I wanted to keep Shane quiet, so I was in most of the day except for a couple of hours out back with Shane, he wanted to just lay in the grass.
Today, I am doing laundry, getting pics of things I want to list on Ebay and also taking Tyler for a haircut, IF he ever gets out of bed! Tomorrow starts football practice and it goes from 6:45am until 2:30pm...loooong days ahead for Tyler and that's monday thru Saturday until school starts on the 25th! Also this week I am going to my sister's for a Mary Kay thingie, she didn't want to do it alone, so I told her I would come over...lol Friday night we are getting together with good friends for cards and to hang out!

Friday when we got there we walked in Millenium park for several hours then we took the SegWay tour. Friday nights we always go to Emilio's Tapas and we all shared the great small portion servings that are perfect for a WLS patient. We had a real neat experience having breakfast at The Singature Room on the 95th of the Han**** building on Saturday morning. Saturday evening we went to a Moroccan restaurant in the west Loop. We all shared there also and enjoyed the Moroccan dancers. Sunday morning we took a Wendella boat tour. We have now gone on each and every tour boat down there.
I am at work right now and need to go. Tonight after work I will clean out the house supplies under the kitchen sink as we are getting a new dishwasher installed. Our Maytag finally gave up the ghost. I liked that machine. We opted for a Kenmore. I am not a Sears fan but this one was rated the best by Consumer Reports.

Hello my Il friends~
Isn't today just beautiful! I don't have the kids this week so Maddie and I are going to spend some quality time together. We made a cake this morning and I promised her she could make some brownies in easy bake oven.
I an feeling some anxiety because school starts next week for Maddie and I don't know where the summer went? Plus I feel she is growing up so fast and I am not caught up on her scrapbook. How do I deal w/ this. I guess I just need to take a deep breath and be thankful that we are all healthy and that we all have roofs over our heads and people that love us! I just need to chill.
Yesterday I went out to my parents house and my mom went to a wedding shower and my dad and I made a cutting board so he can chop up veggies for cooking. Before his illness he did all the cooking and cleaning. I looked online and found this cool cutting board that had pronges on it so you could put the veg on them so it would stay still and you could cut it w/ one hand. Well the thing cost $80. I said to my dad that I could make that! So we drilled holes in a cutting board and I filed some nails even sharper and we made the cutting board for nothing! He is so thrilled!!! Well that sums up what I'm doing and going through. Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine!
Just checking in quickly. We had a blast with the girls last week and got home last night about 9:30p after dropping off Maddy in Indy. Today has been a pretty good day. Today is Calvin's first day w/ his new job.
I really don't have too much going on other then work and then going to hit the gym after work. I've got to start pushing myself to workout and eat healthier.
