Good Morning Illinois Friends! 

It is time to get up and at em!  Another great week ahead of us.  I have to admit, it is hard to go sit inside after 2 days of such beautiful weather.  I hope all of you had a great weekend! 

I awoke to birds singing their heads off this morning.  It is always amazing how cheerful they can be in the morning before it even gets light outside. 

What does everyone have planned for the week?  Any exciting end of the summer vacations coming up?

Good morning Nancy and the rest of my Illinois friends!

I am back to work after what felt like a long weekend.  Saturday, Liv had a softball tournament most of the day, so I went in and picked up her book and signed the forms for her to be in the play.  Then, David decided that he wanted to go to the outdoor and watch movies all night.  Hubby and Liv did not want to go, so it was just David and I----3 movies!  We did not get home until 3 am!

Yesterday, I cleaned house and layed low.  We are still recovering from travelling, I guess (and staying up until 3 am).

After work today, I am thinking of taking my Aunt to dinner and catching up with her.  The kids have a busy week finishing up their volunteer jobs at the museum then beginning practices (football and volleyball) before school starts.

WHERE did the summer go?  It will be freezing again before we know it and I HATE having to wear all those layers.  Oh well........we are not moving to a warmer climate any time soon, so I guess I just have to learn to deal with it.

I am thinking of Eileen who is probably getting into surgery right about now and send my condolences to Deb on the loss of her sister.

Good Morning Nancy and  Everyone.

I agree with you, its going to be an amazing day. I am already up and at em. The hair color is on, just waiting to rinse it off. I  am drinking a great cup of decafe, and trying to decide what is  it I want for breakfast.

Yesterday, I went with my girls  to a coffee shop, and I admit, I had a regular Mexican Mocha, and a piece of biccotti. Needless to say, I won't do that again for a long long while.

Since it was so nice out, I couldn't stand to stay in the house, so I went out and started stripping a window I want to do a fake stained glass on. I plan on finishing it today, so I can reglaze it tomorrow and restain it.

This afternoon I get to go see my favorite DR. I know I have lost some weight, but not sure how much.  Who would of ever thunk we would want to go to the doctors.

Everyone have a great day, and get out and enjoy these cooler dog days of summer.

Lisa,  Who would have? I take extra time to look my best to go see my favorite doc! LOL! Believe me it takes hours!  I know what you mean about the biccotti, ouch! I tend to forget that things get stuck when I do not have an episoide in  awhile and then I munch on something not band friendly and WOW I remember its there the hard way!

Good morning Illinoisans!

Another class of medical students starts today. There will be no parking of course and the halls will be full. It will be fun after the dust settles. This is a busy week for me especially Wednesday. I will need support group by next Monday!

I think the jet lag is over. I feel pretty normal now. No more traveling till October I think. Went to friends for dinner last night for pulled pork. I don't think that is a great food for me. I did get stuck and PB'd a little. Stringy food just don't seem to go down well. I don't know what your experiences are, but I'm not going to try it for a while.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of my IL family, we had a nice time last week in Vegas ,I got to visit with some old friends that I have not seen in about 18 yrs and that was alot of fun. We had a good flight both ways no delays, I too Dawn am still recovering from my trip too.
Today I have a busy day. this AM I get my teeth cleanned, this Afternoon I see the Cardo. Dr.. I guess my stress test  showed up with something and he is wants to find out what it is. and then tonight I am having a MRI on my knee, as the shots did not help much at all.
So that is my day.. Hope every one has a good day.

Another beautiful day! The concert last night was really good. I didn't want it to be over. Ava and Vince enjoyed it too! There are only 2 more concerts left....that means summer is drawing to an end. Not much going on here....laundry again...cleaning up....painted one closet, now I have one more to do...it will get done soon....

We're heading out soon to meet my friend Eileen,one of my OH friends from Michigan. She was in the area to see a White Sox game over the weekend. DH & I are meeting her for coffee as she heads for home. Then a few small errands while we are out. Other than that just enjoying the cooler weather. DD & I took the grands to the park yesterday for a couple hours after church.  We all had fun.  Here's to a great week everyone!  Paulette

Good morning everyone!  We were at the folk festival this weekend and it was absolutely great.  On saturday, I went on stage at 1:30 and as I was playing my first song, I heard the little pitter patter of feet and turned to see Meredith had followed me up!  She walked up to a microphone and said hi to the audiance.  She was the star of the show!  She danced and waved for the entire time I was up there.  As I played a song that I wrote for her, the audiance went nuts.  I can't tell you if I sounded good or not, because I was to busy enjoying the real star of the show!  For the rest of the day and all day Sunday, people were coming up and saying high to Meredith, or teasing me about being upstaged!!!  It was by far the best time I have ever had on a stage.  On top of that, I met a local organic farmer who is looking into setting up a CSA and just happens to come to the area I work in every week.  I bought some amazing garlic from him and Meredith, Liz, Nic and I got to tour his garden.  Meredith was able to pick some green beans and eat them!  She also got to dig up her first potato!!!  It was a remarkable experience.  Food wise, I did pretty good.  If anything, I probably needed to eat a little more, but we've all heard my stories about that.  All in all, it felt like a real vacation even if it was just a weekend.  We did wave in Dawn's direction as we crossed Rock City Road!!!  Have a great week!  Paul

I am going to try and at least post once a week :)  Yes I am still alive and still stalled.  I am not fretting anymore over it.  This past weekend my daughter and I went out to a friend's house in Kankakee and went on his boat with his kids.  It was a lot of fun, but man does that wipe you out afterwards!  I came home and went right to bed.  the job hunt is gong kinda slow, but it is moving I hope.

Let's see, nothing else is going on.  Oh yeah, I am heading to Vegas this wednesday for some R&R with a bunch of friends, so that will be fun.  Besides that, not much at all.
