Hello Kitty, can't help with your request but wanted to welcome you to OH Illinois! You have found the place for information and support. Keep coming back here to ask questions.
I can tell you that after I've had surgery I am off bp meds. Others on this board can talk to you about their  diabetes and their experience. From what I've read it has helped them. There is a man that works out with me who was giving himself injections for 15 years and took glucophage....2 months later he is no longer getting injections but is still taking his pills.

Where are you having your surgery? You should ask your dr. if there are any in your area. I know that Barnes-Jewish has them. You will need to call and get the info.
