Wednesday Roll Call
Hey Lisa -
When I got home from work yesterday, the girls had painted me the most adorable picture of two of the dogs running.. harley sitting in jail and them in the car with the babysitter driving the streets looking for them. It was so cute and cracked me up. I'm just glad at the end of the day we could laugh about it and everyone was safe.

Wow it was a great sleeping night! no whinning dog or thunderstorms, lots of fresh cooler air in from the open windows....I feel refreshed. I think since this is day 3 of no caffeine my body has adjusted too. Decaf w/ S/F Toriano Vanilla syrup tastes yummy.
I left another message at the sleep study clinic to see if any way to get my date moved up but no call back. My pcp put in referrals for the new pulmo & the ent to see who I can get in to see sooner after the sleep study. My pcp had the paperwork & letter from Dr. Vitello and still thinks early Nov is a doable date for my wls as long as BCBS approves it, but he doesn't think there will be a problem with that because of all the documentation in my files (yes plural) at the clinic. I have been going there for 20+ years. Oh My!! So they have documentation on my hbp, cholest, high triglycer. etc. BTW my bp was 115/70 yesterday, but my chol. went up to 194 trigl. down to 174. Didn't understand why the choles. would go back up, he reviewed my diet and said that is was great and it has to do with genetics and because of my inability to get much exercise in due to my back. In April when I saw him I was 267 and 249 yesterday aft. on his scale. Even the recept. noticed my weight loss. yippee!!
Paul, hope your canker sore heals quickly. I think the others are right try cold icy things to numb it.
Christine, I like to survey my little kingdom in the morning too. getting grape tomatoes by the basket full now.
Nancy, WOW!! Good for you 101# now you can get a Century card on OH I think. I don't know how but I bet some of the others do.
Christina P...your dogs sound like their making a video...Dogs Gone Wild!! LOL!!
Deb. Good luck with your cat scan today, hope all goes well.
Fraser, just get back to the basics you can do it. you've come this far, 30 days will go by quickly.
Lisa, fresh peaches yummy! When I went on my road trip with Carla, Pat R from the OFF forum had fresh peaches and blueberries for dessert, makes me hungry just thinking about it.
Well hope you all have a great day in the neighborhood.

Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family
I say "morning" only because it's not a good one here at all. I have to get Shane into the vet today because he's taken a turn for the worse. I don't think he'll be with us too much longer and it's just killing me!! He's my baby.
We had an estimate done yesterday to get our basement finished so the kids would have somewhere to hang out with friends and we would have somewhere to have more space for parties and what not....soooo maybe someday in the future we will have a get together. It will all depend on IF we can get financed. Our credit history and scores are not the greatest because of past mistakes we both made, so we'll see. I am actually not holding my breath on this. oh well.
I hope everyone has a great day
Good morning friends. Well, I went to bed at 6:30 right after posting and slept till 6 this morning! Usually with European jet lag I do fine until noon and then I collapse, so we shall see. I did go into work so that I didn't have to use a vacation day today. I have caught up on my email and all the questions I needed to respond to. Classes start next Monday and so there is still a lot to do. Tomorrow I have patients all day which will be a challenge if I start to fall asleep in the afternoon. Paperwork only again on Friday so that by Monday I should be OK.
We did well with food in Europe. I got stuck on Muesli of all things. I guess it is too much like grits, but oatmeal goes down well. I don't get it. Otherwise the band worked well. We tasted a lot of delicious carbs using the three bite system and I didn't gain any weight. A lot of European food has gravy which makes things go down well. I am not a gravy lover, but the flavors there were amazing.
We saw a lot of wonderful things. We will bring the travel book and pictures to Paul's gathering on the 30th. It certainly makes history come alive to be in places like Prague, Nuremburg and Budapest. Now I want to read up on it.
I don't really know what is happening with all of you. I read some of the daily logs, but probably won't get back over the whole two weeks. Hope everything is going well.
