Saturdays daily post

Good morning,
Well here it is day 2 of the infamous liquid diet. This morning is a little better than yesterday. I think it is becasue I know what to expect. I found myself yesterday trying to think of what more can I have to drink that will make the hunger go away. I have to be honest and say by about 7pm last night I could not take the headache and hunger anymore and I had one very thin slice of left over veggie pizza, it was probably about 2 inches wide. It took the hunger away, I know it was cheating, but I wanted to be honest. If I cant be honest here, then where can I?
I can see now how this is good for you and for YOUR HEAD so that by the time you finish the 10days you are used to very small amounts and are very disciplined about your intake. Today I start the Bariatric advantage shakes too, so I am hoping that they have a filling feeling associated with them. I need to dring 2/day.
I have a question about vitamins, when did you all start taking them? Did you take them pre op or start post op?
I have read from others that it takes about 3 days to get used to the liquids only, so I will do my best today to stick with it. Today we will be on the move more so hopefully that will help. We are going to take the kids to see WALL-E finally. We have been so busy we havent had a chance to see it. So not like us. We usually go right away, and this is one I am looking forward to.
Then off to Sams club for stock up for the family for the surgery. Plus the usuals like paper towels, toilet paper, etc... So not only are we getting shopping done, but I will be active and walking right?
I suppose somewhere in there we will be going out to eat so wish me luck. I will look for only legal things and the waitstaff will think I am crazy but who cares? All in the name of the "Cause"!!
I hope everyone has a great Saturday! Wish me luck on this liquid diet, I will need it!
I know it is summer, but when I was at the end of my rope for my liquid diet and wanted more I would drink a cup of hot tea and that seemed to do the trick. It would get me over the hump. I also drank a lot of beef and chicken broth mixed together. You are right, by the third day, it did not bother me. Good luck!

I took the luxury of sleeping in this morning. Oh did that feel so wonderful. I stayed up too late too many times this past week and was tired all week. I should know better but I just think "I will just do this one more thing before heading to bed" and an hour later I finally go to bed.
Not much planned for the weekend other than the usual grocery shopping, church, catching up on newspapers, house chores etc.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

My 1 yr labs were good-my thyroid has to be adjusted, and they also showed why I am having such bad bone pain. I have Paget's disease of the bone-a hereditary auto-immune disease that isn't too pleasant, but I will deal w/it. I'm no stranger to pain-I've been married twice.
