Hi Folks,

Have had a busy week!
tgif for sure!!!
We had the thunderstorms this morning as well.  My greyhound was hiding in the bathroom when I got up. (not MY bathroom, thank goodness)
I am a little stalled on my weight, but I've not exercised as much as I had been - partly the heat, partly being really busy and not home.
I'm going to Dr. R. for my monthly appointment and probably another fill on Thursday.  I'd like to get my weight at least back to the lowest it was by then.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Good Morning Chris and the rest of my IL family

Happy Birthday to Dave!!  and congrats on all the offers!  that's great.  I will be job  hunting here in the next couple of weeks too.  I am not looking forward to it at all.

Today Austyn is having his tonsils out.  We are getting ready to head there in the next couple of minutes here.  It's a place called Valley Ambulatory in St Charles.  I hope it's a nice place.

After we get home, Mike will be taking care of Austyn and the boys and I will be heading out with my neice and her family for a day of garage saleing and festival fun.

Gotta run, have a great day all!

Good morning Christine and my Illinois family!

Happy Birthday Dave!

Not much going on here today...my son came by last night and told me I'm a gramma to another boy....his new bulldog Dunkin, as in Dunkin Donuts! He is only 4 months old and is really cute...of course not as cute as my human grandsons.

Keep cool today...enjoy the day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAVE!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAVE!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR DA-A-A-VE!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAVE!!!!!

Good morning!

I am just working my last day until vacation!  We leave for Vegas at about 4 am on Monday.  I am hoping to hook up with Janet while we are there and am looking forward to the "Stripper 101" class we are taking on Tuesday.  I have to pay close attention, because when I come back, my neighborettes want lessons!  Just imagine.....the ladies of Rock City.....pole dancers!!!!

I am dropping Liv off at about 9 pm tonight to leave for her Georgia trip at 1 am.  She is so excited, she can hardly stand it.  We have had to make some interesting phone arrangements so that she can call to find out if she was cast in the play.  Funny, it would not bother her at all not to have contact with us for the 6 days, but she REALLY wants to know about the play.

I am wishing everyone a fantastic day, and I will TRY to check in over the weekend, but if not, see you next week!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Afternoon everyone!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!  Have a great time in St Charles/Geneva, they are both great towns.

Here it is Friday, My son, Noah is at the Cub Game for the first time, and Brigid and I are hanging out at home and enjoying the quiet.

Today is day 1 of 10 of the liquid diet.  Im not quite sure how it is all going to work, but as the days go on I will have a better handle on it.  ( I Hope).  SO far so good, the only problem is my daughter loves all the foods I can have so she is begging for my mear morsels and I cant resist her sooo, I am a little hungry.

Tomorrow I start the 8 day protein shakes from the Kane center.  Hurray that means my day is getting closer!

This weekend is kind of lazy.  Tomorrow we are going to take the kids to see Wall-E as we have not had time to go yet.  Sunday my husband belongs to a group that is having a picnic, not sure if I am going to go becasue of the heat, restrooms are very far from pavillion, I cant eat any picnic food etc,,,  We will see.

If anyone has any suggestions for surviving this 10 day pre op liquid diet I would really appreciate them!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ALL!!!!

Hi!  I can only say that 90% of the struggle with the liquid diet phase is in the head.  Try to redirect your focus toward other projects and not dwell on the food stuff.  You will loose almost as much weight in the next 10 days as you will in the first 10 post-op days and that is a tremendous amount!!!  Remember, your journey started months ago and this is just a small part of it.  I found that the liquid phase became very easy about the third day.  Good luck and goodbye to all the weight!

TGIF!   Havent posted in awhile so I thought I would jump!   Nothing going on here except working, I dont want the summer to end but I really want the busy season to be over with at work.
Ellen, no suggustions on the liquid diet cause thank gawd I didnt have to do that.  I did have those lovely shakes.  I dont know what I would have done if I had to do the liquid diet LOL.  Although maybe if they had me do that I wouldnt have had to do open instead of lap.  Oh well.
Everyone have a great rest of Friday and enjoy.  I am just going to work and than head out to Curves, I am going crazy I am been at stall the last 2 weeks and its messing with my head!!!!!

Ok, here it is 5pm on day 1 of the liquid diet.  Oh my.  I have to watch my blood sugar closely becasue sometimes it drops to far too quickly.  The beginning of the day, was OK, then I came home from dropping off my son and I was starving!  Had some cottage cheese, yogurt, and chicken broth. ( of course I did not get my full servings because I have a 22 month old mooch!! named Brigid).  SO we shared the liquid diet today.  She has to have everything I have.  SHe is napping now and I am having a popsicle so she doesnt see me!!  LOL!  Too messy for her!  Maybe right before bath time.  I did ok til the afternoon when I got that "oh my God, if I dont get something to eat right now I am going to die!"  So I had a slimfast low carb shake and some more broth.  Almost done with day 1....only  more to go.....All in the name of Health?  Right?  O Lord help me to stick to this diet!  Please!
