Monday Roll Call

Hi Everybody!  I'm back from vacation and have been off line for the last week.  That's the first time I've been without a computer for that long in years!  And it felt great!  The good news is that I still have plenty of resistance in my band.  The not so good news is that I haven't lost any more weight in the last week.  It's very frustrating.  But I figure I'll just keep going along and learn patience.  I did eat a lot of junk on vacation (in my small quantities), so I guess I shouldn't have expected much.  But what can I say?  Ice cream seems to go down easy and stay down!  But now that I'm back home, I'll be getting more serious about the quality of what I eat.  All in all, I eat far far less than I did before the WLS.  I haven't had a chance to read any of the posts from last week so I'm in the dark about where everybody is at.  I hope everybody is well.  I missed you all.

Good morning Paul and welcome home!

I am glad to hear that you had a relaxing vacation.  We all need that.  Try not to worry about the weight, just get back with the program of healthy foods and you should be fine.  On the other hand, when on vacation, we all need to break the rules a bit.....that is good for us too!

Liv and I have been really enjoying the "Catus Juice" CD.  She makes me play it every time she is in my car, and over the last week, that was a lot!  I now find myself singing some of the songs in my head!  That is the mark of great music in our books.

I am also glad that you, Liz and Meredith were able to join us for A Day in Rock CIty.  It was great meeting Meredith, she is a sweetheart!  We hope to see you again soon.

I will post my roll call to Carol, but I wanted to welcome you home and thank you for the CD also!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family!

Welcome home Paul.  I am glad that you had a good time on vacation!  You will get back on track now that you're home too.  No worries my friend

Today is football again, this is the last wee****il "real practice" starts on Aug 12th.  yay....
Austyn was supposed to go for his pre surgical appt today at his Ped, but she's sick so we rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon.  He's having his tonsils out on Friday.  It's going to be hell in my house for a while after that.  he can't handle any pain at all...yikes!   This weekend is North Aurora Days here so I will be out most of the day Saturday with my sister checking out the community garage sales, books sales and just hanging out.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!!

Good Evening,

Today was a kind of dull day, which believe me I embrace sometimes, as the rest of the week is going to be kind of crazy.

This is my son's last week of camp. Thursday is his official last day and they are going to the Shedd Aquarium, great field trip for him, he loves it there.  Friday he is going to the Cub game with my dad and our neighbors, it will be his first time in Wrigley Field and I won't even be there to see it....

GO CUBS!

I have one last test on Wed before surgery, and echocardiogram at ABMC, then all I have to do is follow the liquid, liver reducing diet and show up in 2 weeks and  by the grace of God everything will go ok and I will be starting my new life.  I know for me, the liquid diet will be tough, Im not kidding myself.  I keep trying to tell myself that it will all be worth it when my liver is as small as it could be so there is less chance of having an open incision.  I also know that it will make the prep the day before the surgery alot easier since I will have been on liquids for 10 days before.  (right?,  just humor me if I am wrong...LOL)

Thursday night I am having friends over for a "Last supper of sorts".  We are going to order pizza and let the kids play and swim and be goofy. THis has been a rough summer for us and we have not had much fun family time due to all my medical issues.  Plus my friends are going to help me make up a plan for after surgery especially those first few days when I get home.  Hopefully, I wont need much help. but if I do, I want to be prepared.  Can you tell I am a plan ahead kind of person?

Friday starts the 10day diet, and then Im on my way.

I hope everyone has a great week!
