Good mornign Paulette and the rest of my friends,

Today I am going to my parents house to help out w/ my dad.  If the weather cooperates we are going to put my dad in the pool for some exercise.  He can walk so much better in the water and it boosts his confidence!  We have to be back by 7:30 tonight because we are getting our hair cut tonight.  The weight is at a stall and I am getting very frustrated!  I am exercising like crazy and I have started to write down everything I'm eating and I am still not loosing.  The only thing that I'm loosing is my hair.  I better get going and get ready to go to Gilberts, IL!

Hi Kim, remember muscle weighs more than fat and sometimes our bodies need time to catch up.  Thats what the experienced people tell me, just keep walking the walk and it will come off.  Paulette

UMMMMMMM a pound of fat and a pound of muscle weigh the same - 1 pound each - it is just that muscle takes up less space. That is an old exercise tale (as in old wives tale and is not true). You are correct about her body needs time to regroup. What she needs to do is shake up her routine as her body has become accustomed to her routine, up her protein, add a few more calories because she might be starving her body and expending too many calories and up her water.

ummm   obviously I am the old wife..hee-hee...I really just heard this recently at PT but maybe the hearing is going too....if he  meant that  a pound of fat proportionally  takes up more room than a pound of muscle like you stated.  mea culpa...would not want to give out wrong info here..paulette

Kim, this is what I wrote to Paulette regarding your stall ====

Check your calorie output as you might be expending too many calories and your body thinks that you are starving it. When you exercise more and more you can go into a stall, but you need to feed it also. Get in more protein and lots of water. Change your exercise routine also, work harder some days and let yourself rest a little other days by not doing as much. Have you started any weight strengthening? When you have more muscle you burn more calories.

Good morning Paulette and the rest of my IL family, for me today I had the third injection in my knee today but some how I hurt it Wed. because it woke me up yesterday morning about 3 AM with this bad pain that I could not even get out of bed. It is some better today Dr.. did take off some fluid. He did say that I have  alot of spears (sp) in their and that might be giving me the problem, He want me to get a knee breace to see if that helps some,
Other then that not much else going on here as I am resting my knee as much as I can, I sure don't need the pain when we go on our Vegas trip in a few weeks..
Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Janet, try icing the knee 15-20 min at a time if you aren't already, that always helps me.  Paulette

Good Morning Paulette and the rest of my IL family

Today I actually got to sleep a little later than normal because there's no football today!  yay.  I will be taking Shane back to the vet this morning for more xrays to see how far the cancer has progressed and give us a better understanding of what it is doing and how long he has.  He's been feeling good and wants to play ball still.  I added some pictures to a new album of the dogs.  A friend of mine does photography on the side and she took these for me last night.

After we get home, it's laundry, homework and then taking the boys to the other sides for the weekend.   My ex thought he sold his house and was supposed to close on Monday the 28th and got everything out of it last weekend and then got a phone call the other day that the buyer passed away and now he doesn't know what he's gonna do.  I kinda feel bad for him.  lol

Have a great day everyone!
