Good Morning Paulette, and the rest of still sleeping Illinois.
I set my coffee maker for 5:00 am, so it is almost always ready when I wake up. Of course, DH usually takes all but a cup to work every morning, so on days he is off I get as much as I want.
I have errands to run this morning. then will probly help DH outside, doing whatever I can to help him with the siding next door. We will more then likely go out for dinner this evening.
I will also work on a rug I am doing for a gift. I finally found a spot that I can lean the loom up against and it stays, so I don't have to work on it laying flat. Plus I can have my music up as loud as I want, and not disturb DH.
Enjoy your day.
Hugs

Hi Lisa, I bet that was the problem getting the coffee pot started thid am, Earl had it on the timer. I pushed the button and came in here when I went to check the coffee nothing had happened, so I pushed the button again then it started brewing. LOl!!! I really am not awake this early...Have fun working on the rug. I like to do crafty things...sewing, crocheting, card making, things with the grands..etc. Hugs, paulette

Paulette, It seems like you and I are alot alike, Ilove crafting, being rug makeing, scrapbooking or I now want to try soap making. Plus, anything I can do with the granddaughter. She likes my homemade applesauce, so, when she gets here Sunday, we will be making applesauce to go with bbq pork chops ( her favorite) for dinner.

Hi Lisa & Paullette!
Add me to the "crafty ones"! Liv and I do all kinds of things. Each year, we have a Christmas project. One year, we did soapmaking. It was really rather easy, if you are talking about the melt and mold method. This way just melts the soap in the microwave, then you add colors and scents, then pour into molds. It was a fun thing to do with her when she was younger. She was probably about 7 that year and she really enjoyed it.
Another fun thing to do with younger ones is steppeing stones. You get the cement and molds from the craft store then have fun maiking one of a kind stepping stones. We did this with all the grandchildren one year for their Great Grandma, and the stones are still in her garden. Some of the kids put handprints into the cement, and it is fun to see how small they were at one time. (Especially when you look at David's!)
We are thinking of doing candles for Christmas this year, and we have an annual (or semi-annual) tie dye party, which would be a great IL Board get together project!
Have fun!

Hi Dawn, such good ideas, today we let the girls do the meals, it was fun. I had easy recipes for them to follow, of course I haven't figured out my calories and carbs yet so I'll see how the day went later! I am kind of afraid to look. They mixed up the scrambled eggs this morning (eggbeaters for me) and added cheese> for lunch they mad mock pizzas on an english muffin, but with turkey pepperoni then they baked them in the toaster oven. For dinner they made chicken quesadillas, and I grilled them. They were so proud! They are sleeping over tonight and want to make waffles in the am......wow lots more carbs I am going to have to skip that one. Earl & i walked to jen's this am (1mile) and then walked back with the girls half way back we stopped at the park and played on the swings, nana & papa included. Then we went to Frankfort to the big park and they played there, Earl & i walked some more, hopefully i burned off lots of these carbs off today. I love tie dye and making candles sounds like a fun project. Paulette
Good morning Paulette and the rest of the sleepy heads of Illinos! I too have been up an hour. I've done a load of dishes and have been reading the other sites and mail on my computer. Just now getting to the Illinois board. It is Friday. Yipee.
I do have to work tomorrow morning at my second job but I love it so it is not really work. I teach a class about 2 weekends a month. Good pay and fun to teach.
My doctors appointment yesterday was good. I am 4 pounds away from losing 100 lbs. So hopefully I will hit that mark in the next couple of weeks. Never thought I would be down 100 pounds in 4 months but I will take it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
