Thursday Roll Call

Good morning everyone in the great state of Lincoln. We have been back since Tuesday at about 5pm. We had a dead tree cut down while we were at Dawn's Saturday. The guy also took off a rather large limp that stretched over the 3 season room and the back dormer of the house. It really looks bare over the back of the house but we feel better because we do not have to worry about it snapping off in a storm. The neighbor boys were supposed to do the last of the yard clean up but never showed yesterday so Dave and I finished it. The lawn guy comes on Thursdays and the piles were killing the grass underneath. KIDS!

Just about ready to start the day for work. We have another full weekend coming up with a 50th anniversary party and a late 8th grade graduation party. A co-worker was having her house remodeled and they were waiting until they were back in the house before they had the boy's party.

Glad your back home and enjoyed your time in the Dells.
Not much going on here today...house cleaning and groceries. Work-out later this afternoon. Missed yesterdays but I exercised at home.
Still working on the bedroom. Hopefully I'll have it in decent shape by tomorrow.

Morning Christine and Illinois!

Well my day consists of goint to visit my surgeon for my monthly appointment and B12 shot.    Glad my almost month stall broke.  At least I wont be the same weight as I was at the last visit.  On the way back, I thought I would stop off in Rockford and go to PetSmart.  The cat crew at my house lost one of the most favorite toys ever.  I now have to try to find a substitute since the toy has been missing for 3 weeks.  I dont know if one of them hid it and dont remember where but I cant find it anywhere.  That toy is like a blankie for one of my cats and he is going nuts without it. 

Tonight I have a hair appointment.  I am 3 1/2 months out and so far the hairloss has not started.  I would love for it not to fall out but I am not holding out any hopes for that to happen.  I lost gobs after my gallbladder surgery years ago.

Good Morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

Glad to see that you and Dave had fun and made it home safe.  We continued to have excellent weather the rest of Saturday.  Liv and I and 2 other girls had a "Sortlegger" Swiss Canoe team and probably came in last.  We had fun and finished though which is more that I can say for a couple of other teams.

Today, I have to leave work about 10:30 and run back home to take Liv to the ear doctor.  Then I will run back here.  Lots of driving, but it still is more economical than taking time off.

Not too much else happening in this corner of the planet.......

Have a safe trip Nancy. At least it isn't suppose to rain today. Same to Dawn. I know what you mean about  the economics of having to take off work for a day, or just a few hours.

Carol, you are keeping busy.

I am not "working " today, but I need to clean house, and maybe do some errands. If they don't get done today, I will do them tomorrow.

i know after the DH gets home, we will again be working on the one rental house. We have the DSILs coming on Sunday to help, so we should get a lot done that day.

Other then that, nothing is happening around here today.

Good morning,

Not much going on today.  I do not have the kids, so I thought I would clean the house and do some yard work.  I have to plant an oak and maple tree I got from my parents neighbor.  They are super small, so it should be easy!  I also have to take max to the groomers today at 10:30.  He sure needs a hair cut.  Tonight we have Maddies VBS performance.  They are singing some songs and doing a skit.  I hope everyone enjoys the day.  Thanks for all the advise on the jobs!  I really appreciate it!

Today is football once again and while Tyler is there I have to return a few things at Office Depot and Target.  After I get Tyler it will be home to do homework, I only have one chapter left of math!  woohoo....

Tonight I am heading up to Itasca to get Shane's pictures done. I have a friend who works at that hotel area right off of the expressway and Thorndale (not sure what it's called now, used to be the Hamiliton??)  She's offered to do them free for us since we know that he won't be here much longer.  He's limping every day this week and never walks normal anymore.  We go tomorrow for the last set of xrays to see how far it's progressed.

Christine, I for the life of me couldn't remember...I'm glad you did.  My DH and I actually spent our wedding night (awwwwww) there in March 1983.

Good morning Chris & friends,  It's been a wonderful few morings here, very conducive(sp?) to sleeping in and I have been taking advantage of that however I am getting behind on all my morning things I like to do so this lovely habit will need to end soon.  Yesterday I had my Pt appt and the therapist was pleases with my progress. My left hip & legs have been bothering my. I knew the legs were from the sciatic pain but wasn;t sure about the hip.  He said my walking and bike riding had tweaked the tendons in the hip. so after some heat and massage therapy it is so much better. Then we took our granddaughters to a small childrens museum in Bourbonnais. They loved it even though it doesn't compare to the one we visited last year in Downers Grove, they have a very small animal petting area so we did that  after the museum and also went to the park for awhile so the girls could play. Earl & I walked alot but no hip pain. Today we need to cut the grass and I have lots of grape tomatoes ready...yummy!  Have a great day! Paulette
