LOOKING FOR A NEW PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN
I am looking for a new primary care physician out of Alexian Brothers. Does anyone have one that they love? I will have to check if they are part of my insurance (aetna) but I really need a new pcp. I have left the hospital that I went to ( and I worked there for 15yrs) due to too many issues with care, test results, and their inability to LISTEN to the patient. My pcp is the same way and his office is too big, and their staff is ever changing and not knowlegable ( although they think they are).
I have nothing but good things to say so far about ABMC and have only received top notch care from everyone there from the ER, to outpatient, to all the different testing departments, and especially on the 6th floor after my gallbladder surgery.
Thanks in advance for the info!
Eileen
Hi Eileen,
I just started with a new PCP, she is with affinity group, they have web page with locations then Practioners at each site ; http://www.affinitydocs.com/welcome.html
They are in Arlington Heights, Wheeling and Buffalo Grove, which would be a little further for you.
The care I recieved from the "urgent care" MD Soler and my PCP Kotcherian has been excellent. They have an imaging center for the group, which they sent me to for STAT sonagrams of my blood clots the service there was prompt and everyone was so nice .
My physician has all ready found that my medications levels needed adjusting . My new doses have improved my blood sugars and blood pressure levels. ( I was on same meds for years - even though tests showed that they should have been changed!)
She also found other issuses from my labs which she is concerned about. It seems I am anemic and this would explain some other symptoms I have.
I feel thrilled to have an MD that really takes care of me. She even makes her own calls to patients about the lab work! Which is so much better than having RN call and then not being able to answer questions right!
Good luck in your search,
Cathy
