Monday Roll Call

Good morning IL,

Well, its back to work for me today.  I was on vacation all of last week, but I need a vacation to recoup from my vacation.  My in laws own a restaurant and are short on help, so I worked there this past week. 

The good news is that all of that running around jumped my weightloss.  The frustrating part is that I got out my machine last weekend and took in all of my clothes, but they just hang off of me by the end of the week.  I did hit a thrift store and got a couple of nice outfits. 

We have permanent house guests.  Friends of ours lost their apartment, so we have taken them in to help them out.  They are our wonderful friends, but it can get a little frustrating.  Yesterday, I asked him to move his car over in the drive.  Now stupid me didn't say which way to move it, so I guess it was my fault.  I just thought common since would tell you to move it toward the grass, but I came home and it was in the middle of the drive.  I explained to him that our drive can hold 3 cars side by side.  I know I should welcome the exercise parking at the end of the drive, but when I have groceries I just want to park close.  Oh well, like I said its just a small thing.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We didn't get as much rain as originally predicted, but this humidity is horrible.  My air conditioner wouldn't kick off last night.  I kept thinking something was wrong with it til I stepped outside.  The weatherman here said to not even bother to fix your hair today because of the humidity.

Good morning Michelle,  My company left yesterday so today I can get back to the things I didn;t get done while she was here. Off to the lab for blood work then I'm meeting Carol for breakfast, after that I'll run all my errands and back home to finish cleaning out my sewing room. Since it will be so humid I plan to work inside today. Have a great day!

Good morning  everyone! We are on the way home from a wonderful vacation. Too many bugs but that's what you get when camping. Will be interesting to see what the scale says. I did pretty good with my food so I hope I did well. My leg pain was acting up so I didn't get in as much walking as I should have. I will be posting some pics of vacation on my profile.

Got up this morning to a Thunderstorm!!! Had to close the windows I was getting rained on! A large tree brance came out of a tree in the yard and fell across a small app;e tree. We went out got it off the apple tree. This poor tree is only a couple yrs old! It has 3 apples on it this yr!

I am going to go to my daughters house to babysit today. She has airconditioning so this will make the kids happier!

Yesterday was a mellow day and today a busy work day. It looks like it will rain all day, so  being in an air conditioned building sounds fine to me.

Good morning all! Yep, it's humid out there alright. A good day to stay inside, with the air conditioning!

Tonight's my big weigh-in with my surgeon at my support group meeting (my surgeon is in California, but he comes to Chicago monthly to give a newbie info session and attend a support group meeting for his DS patients--cool guy!)

I'm hoping to post triple digits lost for the first time tonight! I know what my home scale says, but I like the official Tanita one. My period is hovering, threatening to tack on a bunch of water weight, but I am ever-hopeful. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Good Mornig Michelle and the rest of Illinois!

Well, Satruday turned out to be a beautiful day for A Day in Rock City!  The weather was wonderful, clear, sunny with blue sky all day.  It did not rain again until about 11 pm, which cut the street dance short, but the neighbors and we just hung out on my front proch.  Chris and Dave, Paul, Liz and Merideth, Janet and Jim (from this board) all came in addition to other family and friends.  We had a great time.  My family split up into 3 different Swiss Canoe teams and me and the girls (The Short-Leggers) probably came in last.  That's OK.....it was a  lot of fun and also good exercise!

Yesterday was a day to relax and recover.  We cleaned up our messes and relaxed the rest of the day.  David and Todd left for Boy Scout camp at about 1:00 pm, so it is just Liv and I until next Saturday.

Liv is supposed to have a game in Broadhead tonight at 6:30.  If she does not get rained out, I will miss the Rockford group.  I hope it continues to rain!

Well, we just had a whooper of a storm, and it looks like it couldcome down again. Our county hasa severe thunderstorm warning until 12:30.
I am in my little cubbyhold of an office and can see out of the windows in the main room.It is dark enough, that the cars coming down the driveway have their lights on.

I am stting here eating breakfast.A Southern Illinois peach with yogurt with some crunch added.To me, they are the only peaches to get. Big, juicy and sweet. Of course, I was raised in southern Illinois, so it reminds me of my childhood.

Not sure if I will do anything after work today. I have to stop at the post office. I do need to finish the laundry after being gone all weekend.
