Hair loss after RNY?
SO one of my worries, is the hair loss. Does this happen to everyone? If so, is there anyway to help or prevent it? Do I need special supplements to prevent it? I have not heard of this from all of my pre surgical classes, but it seems to be a topic here.
I have very thick hair and although I keep it short, I have alot of hair. I would hate to lose it or parts of it.
Thank you in advance for any advice!
Eileen
I think most of us do experience some hair loss. The compleate food change plus the operation itself causes it. I take Biotin, you can get it at GNC, and also use a Biotin shampoo. But there are other things as well. Just because some of us do lose hair, it doesn't mean that you will. But it does come back.
Hi I lost some of my hair about the 4th month out, I did not do anything differant other then get it cut shorter, I think I am the only person the knew that my hair was falling out it was not a big deal for me, If your does start to fall out just know that it will stop and it will regrow. 'good luck to you,
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
