Rant ! You are not going to believe this.....

I got a lot done before I left at work and I had a backup I have been training for 6 months so I had my ducks in a row. I called in several times to see if she was ok, she said yeah, and the next day noone had hours. I walked her through getting things in and I think that was ok. I know the world doesn't stop just because I am having surgery--just would like a little support and sympathy.
Durign my years in Finance, I have had people who did care during other surgeries I had. I just needed to rant because of my frustration of getting what they needed done and their general attitude. I should not have expected more because one of the IT people a few months ago went to the doctor thinking she had a virus and found out she had aggressive leukemia and if she had waited 2 more weeks, she would have died. My boss--what about month end? Talk about anal retentive.
I think I do need a fresh start because I was downsized which is how I ended up where I am. They have downsized with this economy too but I am the main person who knows how to get the processes thru. My goal is to make it until the end of this year and then look because the one benefit is good insurance--no deductible and I didn't have to go thru many hoops to get my surgery. That is the main benefit of this.
I agree with you that you could have had the two done at the same time (less anesthesia, surgical gases, etc). I don't blame you.
Let me know what your progress is. I will update my mom about Dr. Kane Sr.
