Good Morning Illinois!  I'm up early again so I thought I would start the show.  Ever since my WLS, I find that I often wake up in the early hours with enough energy to sing and dance.  This wouldn't be so bad if there was anything worth watching on the TV, but how many Ginsu knives, Poppeil pocket fisherman and rinestone stud machines can I possibly need???  Anyhow, it's raining and ligthening and just plain ugly out there right now, but I'm hoping it will clear up by mid-morning.  I know several of you were having rough times yesterday and I wish you sunshine in your hearts for today!  We're having our annual ribfest and pool party today, so I've been smoking meat since yesterday and will continue until this afternoon.  This will be the first year where I won't be eating pork like a pig!  But I'll have fun watching everybody else!  Paul

Good Morning Paul and Illinois

So how many of you got the storms last night?   Some where pretty bad!  The lightning was putting on quite a show too!

Paul have a good day with cooking all that food!  Makes me hungry just reading about it!  You will be surprised how much control you have watching everyone eat!

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning! I could have posted when Paul did. The storm woke me  up and I had trouble getting back to sleep. The garden survived the storm and hopefully the rain will hold off until 2 when the garden walk is over. Kay has been working non stop for weeks now. There will be picture , maybe by later today.

Not much going on with me, just planning on sitting in the garden today and answering questions unless I get to the point where I can't stand it. Then I can go to the knitting shop and escape!

Good Morning Paul and my IL family!

It sure is gloomy outside today.  I wish I was still in bed but we all got up because Tyler was supposed to have his 2nd playoff baseball game today then the coach called and said it was moved to 2pm instead.  Then about 15 minutes later he called back and said that they moved it to tomorrow at 12pm and Tyler should be at the field in Elburn at 11am.  Kinda puts a damper on things as Mike and I were going to go and visit my mom at the rehab place she's been at since getting discharged from the hospital for back surgery.  It's also our 7 yr anniversary tomorrow too.  Guess it will be spen****ching Tyler's team kick butt, hopefully!  If they lose tomorrow, it's over, if they win, they move on to the next level of games.

So...today I will work on homework and probably watch a movie.  It will be a quiet laid back kinda day

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and that it clears up so those of you who have plans can have fun!!

Good Saturday Morning.

The storms woke me up this morning too. They say it should clear up by this afternoon. I hope so.

Does anyone go on the main board? Eggface has a receipe file that she adds to daily. One of her latest is protein ice cream. I made it this morning and it is good.

My plans for today are to finish relaceing all the furniture and stuff we moved yesterday,  a few loads of laundry, changing  the bed and other normal Sat. stuff. Nothing exciting here.

Paul, have a nice party today. I want to smoke a brisket sometimes this summer, just have to do it.

Connie, enjoy talking to everyone today. Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Hey Pam, where you been hiding?

Hugs to all,

Good Morning Paul and Illinois, We'll be busy today putting the guest room back together. Earl's sister from Dallas will be here Thursday for the weekend. The storms were quite powerful here too, I woke up a few times early this am. The good side of all the rain last night is that my garden and the lawn really needed the rain. Most of the previous showers had skipped us or just provided short amounts of rain. I have tons of green tomatoes on the plants and a few small peppers, the onions are ready to start pulling. Looks like the girls pumpkin plants are doing really well too, they'll enjoy that come Halloween. Tomorrow I'm  going into Chicago to go meet my best childhood friend and her sister. My friend is in from Phoenix so I don't get to see her but once a year. We have known each other since I was 3 years old. Anyway, I hope you all have a great day/weekend. Hugs, Paulette
