Long time since I posted
Hello my fellow Illinois folks. I hope all has been well in your lives. I am a advid lurker, just not much of a poster. The message boards here are such a good source of knowledge. Guess I'm just as shy online as I am in person...lol Anyway, just a bit of an update, I am 16 weeks post-op and am down 60 pounds. I have my 4 month check up and nutrition class tomorrow. I'm anxious to see what Dr. Joyce has to say. Things have been up and down in my life. I will admit, in the back of my mind I saw my gastric bypass surgery as a quick fix. Oh, nothing could be father from the truth. This has been a hard, but rewarding road. I've had lots of "wow" moments but quite a few "what have I done to myself" moments also. I know I made the right decision, I just forget sometimes.
I'm going to try to be more pro-active on the board. I know this is a great group to be involved with. I already feel as if I know you all from reading all the posts.
Have a great day!

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
