Any Support Groups on the Oswego, Yorkville, Aurora area?

Hi All,

I had Open RNY on 6/26/08, and am looking for a support group in my area. I had my surgery at UIC, and they have a support group, but it's just to far to drive.

Anyone know of anything in the Kendall County Area?

Welcome to the Illinois Board Vicki. Congrats on making your lifesaving choice, and welcome to the losers bench. I know of nosupport groups in your area,but call your local hospitals. They can tell you ifthere is any. Please join us in our daily roll call. This is how we all stay in touch and give support to one another. We have get togethers once in a while and get to meet the people behind the names. All in all, this is a great group of people and a great support group. Hugs

Hi Vicki! I am in North Aurora and had Open RNY on April 9th. I go to the support group meetings at my hospital though and that's up in Elk Grove. I don't know of any other ones around here...sorry.

There are support groups at Northern Illinois Weight Loss Center/ Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. They are every first Wednesday of the month, and every 3rd Monday. The next one is July 21st.
