I made it!Surgery is next week

I just got back last night from my pre-op appt.trip to Chicago.Got everything done and everything is a go.My surgery is Wednesday the 9th.Me,my husband,my mom & my aunt who also had the same procedure are leaving for Chicago the day before by train.I will be in for 2 days after my surgery then we will be coming home the 11th on the train.I hope the trade ride won`t be too awful coming home.It is sort of bumpy at times and you tend to rock side to side.But it`s here.I`ll be on the losing side next week! The 9th will be here before you know it. It's great that you have your  own personal support group to be there for you!  Bring a bed pillow with you for your ride home. Hold it across your lap when it starts to get bumpy. Good luck on your journey!

Kim, I know this has been a long haul for you, so I am really excited that your day is coming. You will be on the losers bench shortly and what a ride it will be! Hugs    

Thanks everybody for all the support,& I apreciate the advice.I know I`ll be on here asking for more,lol.I will be glad when this liquid diet is overwith.They didn`t give me much of a selection of what I could have.I started it on Sunday June20th.My surgeon wanted me to do 3 weeks instead of 2.She said she reccomends that to some of her patients.but only a few more days left to go.I can`t wait.

not much longer to go!  woo hoo!  keep your eye on the prize!!  that is what i keep telling my husband right now too.  he is 4 days down and 10 to go!

Good luck Kimberly! I am so happy for you!  You sound like you will have a great support team going along with you! Take a pillow with you to hold into your tummy for the ride home! Those trains can be wigglly!  Wow all the way to  Chicago from Effingham.
