Thursday Roll Call

Happy Thursday to all of you. I am up a little early today because my sister, her husband, Dave and I are going to my niece's graduation from Great Lakes. We all need to hit the road at 6am.  I had a fitful night because I was thinking about pulling the directions from my e-mail  and my internet went out last night. I think I was thinking about it in my sleep during the short night in  My provider has been down more in the last 6 months than it ever was since we signed on with it 6 years ago. It is going to be easy to go with AT & T when it is available soon in Itasca. Hope you all have a great day and stay safe over the fourth.  & Chris

  Good Morning Christine and Dave. What a great day for a graduation at Great Lakes. Enjoy it.  I think i am going to be making a quick trip to the Kane Center today. Since my fill on Monday. I don't think I have been able to keep anything down., including liquids. I thought I would be able to tough it out, since I know the stoma swells a bit after a fill, but I am staying over the that white bowl, entirely to often. Even this morning, all I took was a couple of small sips of water, and it came up.  So, I will do what is needed to do for tomorrows family day, and call them at 9 when they open.  I will post again later, if I am able to get a small unfill. It was nice to see Barry posting yesterday. Welcome back. Have a safe day, and a safe 4th. Hugs

Good morning Christine and my Illinois family! My son is not closing today. His attorney said the paperwork will  not be ready today. He must close by the 11th. So now I have no plans for the 4th or for the weekend. In other news...my daughter found out she is having another boy!  She e-mailed me pictures of her 4D ultrasound. I already see the resemblance to Vince. So I guess that Ava gets to stay the only princess for awhile longer. Not much going on here today..a walk...groceries..cleaning...and a visit to the gym later today. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Illinois!  It's kind of like Friday!!!  I'm excited about the holiday weekend.  We have no plans for tomorrow, but Saturday we are going to some friends in Dixon so that is going to be our big event.  We are having our annual Ribfest next weekend so I need to do the shopping this week.  It will be weird to cook all the ribs and pulled pork, but not be able to eat it!  Last night I had a very small amount of steak for the first time and I did okay.  But I use to eat 12 - 16 ounces and now it is more like an ounce!  I cut up the pieces real small and then realized that the baby was eating more than me and the pieces were larger!  She gave me a dirty look when I eyed her sippy cup! By the way, thanks for all the concern about Meredith and her tummy problems.  I think it's all an effect of drinking regular milk.  Since her birth, she has been drinking raw milk, but in the last 4 weeks, with all my traveling, she's been on regular store bought milk.  All those natural enzymes are cooked out of the pasturized stuff and I think her tummy is just complaining.  We'll get her back on the raw stuff in about a week and that should help.  It was great to hear from Barry!  He's a great guy and really adds a lot to this motley crew!  Have a great day and a wonderful holiday!  Paul

 Hi all,  This will be short and sweet, I'm off to my daughters, they have a plumbing nightmare, drain backed up into the bathtub tub and out of the floor drain in the utility room, yuk!!!tons of wet towels etc the plumbers wont be out till after noon. So I'm off to help since she works at home and with the holiday tomorrow still has to get her work done. see ya later, Paulette

Today, my sister, my niece, Jacob, Tyler and I are going to see my mom at the Northwest Comm Hospital in Arlington Hts.  Her surgery went well and hopefully she's feeling better today.  After that I get to break my son's heart, yet again, my postponing a party that I have been telling him we'll have.  First time because of my complications and me just not being up to it and this time because of money.  He is going to be SO upset with me, but I just don't know what else to do.  I really need to win the lottery, that would be great.  lol

Good morning Illinoisans!

I'm at work and trying to get things done but here I am. We decided to have a cookout tomorrow so I am going to try steak--just a little. I think it will go OK if I eat slowly. As to the rest of the food--I have no clue. We might even go to the fireworks because we can see them from this side of the river and won't have to get caught in the traffic. What we should do is ask the neighbors if we can sit on their front lawn. Then we wouldn't even have to drive! Kay knows them better than I do--I'll send her over!

I didn't see Barry's post yesterday, but I'll go check it out. Glad to see you are back, Barry!

Good morning!!!  I hope everyone is doing well.  I am off work today and tomorrow and loving every minute of it.  I am back to the Doc today to see why I still have so much pain around my big incission.  It's a burning stinging kind of pain.  I just want to make sure there's no infection and no hernia.  Then I'm flying to Dayton with my hubby.  He has a short trip there and my brother lives there so I figured I fly with him.  I rarely go along even though my airfare is free.  Just too much of a hassle.  Plus it's stand by so there's always a risk you won't get on.  We'll be back early tomorrow morning and our neighborhood has big parties all weekend.  Should be fun!  Enjoy, eat well and be happy!
