Good morning all.  I hope everyone enjoys their holiday!  My company gives us two days off so my holiday starts at 4 pm today!  Last week was a nightmare closing the quarter so it's so very nice to start the new one with a few days off!  Bob is flying through Saturday so he won't be around for the fourth.  My ex husband's birthday is on the third so my son will be with him for a few days. So it's just little ol me hanging out at the homestead....oh and not to forget Abby, my trusty chocolate lab that is by my side 24 hours a day.  I work from home and have no idea what we would do without each other if I ever went back to an office.  She's my stress relief during the day.   Well Happy 4th to everyone...enjoy your day!

Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family.

I have been up for a while, but busy with other things around here and I thought I would jump on here and check in.  Today Austyn is leaving to go on vacation for a week with his grandparents, I have to admit that I am glad.  It will be a nice week I am sure.  (Yes I am a wicked stepmother apparently)

Today, homework, brushing the dogs, running Jacob to the store for a birthday present for a friend and I think that's it.
I finally heard from my dad last night about 9:30pm that my mom came through surgery okay and was in a room finally!  Surgery started late and she was in recovery for a while because she gets very very sick from the anesethia.  Tomorrow my sis, my neice, Jacob and I will go and see her.

I am looking forward to Sunday, we will be going to my sister's house and she has a pool!  I haven't worn a swimsuit in front of anyone other than immediate family for years and years...LOL

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys the weather

Monica

Good Morning Paul and Illinois, I am so thankful I found OH, I have made the most amazing supportive friends in such a short time. Each and everyone one of you inspire me to walk this journey with confidence. I believe that this time I truly will be succesful in my weight loss and keep it off. I have learned so much in such a short time from all of you, about losing weight  and keeping it off.  Hugs to all of you, Paulette

Hi Illinois Folk, I haven't and won't be on the boards as much as before because my whole office group got yelled at for internet use on company time, ergo, not getting our work done, so I have to walk the straight and narrow pretty much.  When I get home from work it's so hectic sometimes I can't sit at the computer longer than it takes to do what's necessary, what with housework, the dogs, and other stuff. Other times like weekends I'm on longer, So I'll try to check in as much as possible. SO>>>>>coming home from work just now, in a rainstorm, I pulled into a shopping center parking lot very near my home to go to Walgreens to pick up a prescription for my husband.  Well, this girl was flying down the side of the parking lot, didn't even see me pull in (she was going straight because the parking lot extends past the entrance) I saw her and knew she was gonna hit me so I tried to speed up so she'd miss me but nope, nailed in the back quarter panel on the drivers side.  i called the police because you need that report for the insurance.  There's a pretty hefty scrape there, and she hit me HARD, My car went swerving and almost fishtailed, I don't think she even was paying attention.   She was a youngish young lady with a little boy in the back, I felt really bad but it wasn't my fault and you gotta do what you gotta do...I'm not really sure if she got a ticket I can't really tell from the police report.  Her dad showed  up just to make sure things were ok.  I said, gee, I wish you'd hit the other side of the car, actually the passenger side already needed some repair work from my son mysteriously getting sideswiped at Woodfield at Christmas Time.<----- my son Sheesh.  You never know.  Now my back hurts, but it always hurts, so whatever. Oh and our washing machine is STILL broken and my greyhound is still recovering from his torn out nail.  but he's fine.  the nail is growing back. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. Cheers, Mary

I can hear you al pass out that I am posting.  Yeah, I am back.  Well kind of actually.  Things have been so extremely busy that I rarely get on to the computer.  I cna't remember if I mentioned a lot of things, so I will just play catch up. I did get a new job, and initially I thought it was right up my alley.  I was so glad to have it.  then it did a huge turn on me.  I let them know right up front that when I have my daughter, I have to leave on-time no matter what.  It is just two nights.  It became an issue.  I am still there but they are nit-picking everything I do, so I think my time there will be short.  I already have feelers out now to get something better. Yeah, before you ask, I am still getting divorced.  It is moving slowly as we are now in a custody thing, I have about 6-8 weeks to wait to hear the fate on that then this thing should move fast.  I am hoping to be completely single by Christmas (keep your fingers crossed).  Also keep your fingers crossed for me to get residential custody of my daughter.  I have done all I can and it is now in the evaluator and God's hands. Speaking of my daughter, she is doing great.  She is now 4 and can't wait to be 5.  I miss her immensely when I am not with her.  I try and do new things with her every weekend, so she has a lot of fun with me .  We have met up with a lot of friends of mine who have kids and the kids just love her and she loves them.  It makes me proud that she gets along with so many kids and is always a good girl at the same time. I haven't had much time to do much else.  When I don't have my daughter, I am putting in 10-12 hour days then go to bed exhausted.  Does anyone have the winning lottery numbers they want to share with me?  I want to just retire :) As for my weight, well I have majorly leveled off at 102 pounds lost.  I need to get in for an adjustment, but I am not sure where to go (just got insurance actually).  I don't want to go back to my former employer for an adjustment, but I might have to as the hours and location are better for me.  Oh decisions decisions. Ok that is all the catch up from me.  I hope to be around more than I have been in the past couple of months.
Barry

Hey Barry, it is good to know that you are still around.  That sucks about the job, but I am sure you will find another one soon.  We have all missed you and have been wondering where you have been.  Give that angel a hug for me and have a great holiday.

Hey Barry so glad to hear from you!    I figured that you were busy!   I hope things can get settled and go in the direction you want over your daughter.   I know you want to get on with life and will be happy to do so once you have your little girl the way you want!   There has to be a new job out there that will work for you!   It will come your way, just you see.   Anyways.....we all missed you and are so glad to hear from you! Hey Barry!  Glad to have you back.  I have a friend who is helping with major IT recruiting.  All high level type stuff.  He's put my resume out there and would be willing to help.  Why don't you PM me with your number or email and we can talk.  We still need to have that cooking lesson as well.  Good luck with the custody stuff.  You are a great dad and I'm sure that the winds will blow your way on that front.  Paul
