Learned something today...

Maybe some of my mood swings and weakness has a cause....I am quite low in B1 (thiamine).  I have to start taking a B1 vitamin and also an additional B complex along with my Optisource every day.  I didn't realize the symptoms of a B1 deficiency.  The only other thing that came back off was my "good" cholesterol...was too low!  It's down to 32.  Lowest it's been.  When I asked Katie what to do to raise it, she really couldn't tell me, other than to check with my PCP.  I found that kinda weird.  But then again, I didn't have a great experience at the Kane Center today anyway....

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

What happened at our favorite Medical Practice? I was there Monday, and things seemed a bit tense then. My good and bad cholesterol go up and down daily. My stats were: 144 total.hdl was 39 and ldl was 82.8. I never can remember which is which, but they are both good #s.

Yes please tell us what happened.  I noticed it was a little strange when I was there last week myself.

I've been told the only thing that will increase the good cholesterol number is exercise.  ~~Cindy

Seriously????  My good cholesterol is low as well.  It's at 35.  I am now walking 3 miles a day.  Do you mean like weight training or some other type of non cardio?  I want to start working with the bands now and see if I can tone these flabby arms of mine.  Too dang warm to cover them up.

Ask your PCP about niacin (OTC) or niaspan ( Rx niacin formula). My husband takes niaspan to bring his HDL up while letting his LDL alone. Beth
