Good Morning Paul and the rest of my Illinois family. Enjoy that new car Paul. I haven't decided to trade my mini-van yet for a more economical car, since I am getting 21/24 miles to the gal. I would love a VW or something similar, but DH hates small cars. He drives a Monte Carlo, and he even complains about that. He only uses it for work, a whooping 40 miles, if that, a week.  Christine and Dave, I love that winery too. Have a safe trip home.  Its off to work for me this morning. Then a stop at the local  hospital for a bloood test, then a trip back to ABMC for aother try for a fill.  Tomorrow I will be leaving about 6:45 to meet my supervisor and a training session in Rock Falls.  Nothing much going for the weekend. We are having our kids for the 4th. I have been cleaning the house and yard up and doing some other outside work.  My lapband is great! Two years ago, I didn't even think I would be alive now, then last year, with a open heart surgery, and my lapband, I am doing more and more. And......... loving life again. Heart/home  Hugs to all

Good morning Paul and the rest of my IL family, Paul congrats on the new car, I too got a new (used) car a few months ago I went from a SUV to a Malibu and love it,  Well yesterday I went to a baby shower and then off to a birthday party, Sunday morning we went out for breakfast and then some shopping before all my partys that I had to go to, and for today I am taking my baby Lexie to the Vet to get spayed and meet up with some friend for coffee the home to clean the house and back porch, other then that not much else going on  Hope everyone has a good day,

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good sunny morning Illinoisans!

Newer cars are an interesting topic! I have an 8 year old PT cruiser that gets 15 miles to the gallon but it only has 42,000 miles on it and I only drive it 4 miles a day. I'm thinking it's cheaper to keep it and drive it into the ground with how much I use it. I would really like a ForTwo smart car, but not this year!

I did some shopping over the weekend and we had friends to dinner, but mostly it was quiet. Kay is going to be on the Master Gardener garden walk on July 12 and she is outside in the garden every daylight moment. The garden looks great to me now. I can't quite see what and why she is needing to do more, but then it's not my thing at all.

Have a good day!

Connie

Good morning Paul and Illinois, Congrats on the new car Paul.  We drive a mini van with no plans to change as it is easier for us with the grands in carseats and for the hubby with all his replacement parts.  Looks like a great day here today. Hope to get the grass cut and some more master bedroom work done. My SIL from Dallas will be here July 20th so the master bedroom needs to be complete before then so we can move back into it and the guestroom available for her. The SIL hasn't been here since last Spring and she is anxious to see her mom again. I know it will be difficult time for her as my MIL is going downhill mentally and the SIL hasn't handled the Alzheimers diagnosis(2003)  very well, even though we figure mom has had it since 2000. I hope mom will have a few good days when Julia is here.  Hope you all have a great day! Paulette

Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family!

Yay for you Paul on the new car and also to Nic for his new bike!  I got me a new battery for my old van!  LOL    I have heard that about the hybrids that in the long run they so aren't worth the price you pay for them.

Today, I must run to the bank and I think I might stop at Trader Joe's and check them out.  Other than that, it's homework and housecleaning until Tyler's last baseball game of the season!  I am sad, I love going to watch him play.  They will have playoff's but it's a single game elimination and honestly his team isn't that good. lol   I want to buy a picnic table for our backyard since we can't afford to put in a deck/patio and have no furniture out there, I want somewhere I can sit out back and enjoy the days.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Monica

We have some wooden pation furniture that we are looking to sell!!!  This is a round table with six chairs.  There's a hole for an umbrella in the center.  It is really good stuff, made by the Amish.  The only reason we have replaced it is that it is too big for the baby to sit on and we decided to go with a rectangular table on our deck.  We paid over $1000 four years ago, but we will sell it cheap to a good friend (of which you qualify!).  I haven't really put it on the market yet since I figured I could use the extra seating when we have our meet and great (still haven't planned that yet).  But if you are interested, PM me and we can talk now.  The screws all need to be tightened (a yearly event with wood!), but I'm willing to help with that.  This is really nice stuff.  Let me know!  Paul
