Monday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois!  It looks like it's going to be a nice week!  Some clouds are out there right now, but they're suppose to go away and then clear skies.  We had an active weekend.  We bought Nic his new bike and he was very excited.  Then we went and bought me a new car and I was very excited!  I needed to trade in my SUV for something that got better milage since I drive about 72 miles a day.  I started looking at hybrids but quickly found that they are so over priced and in demand that you pay more than you'll ever spend in gas!  So I decided on a Nisson Sentra.  I found a nice one with low miles and then went home.  Over night I found a sport model with all the bells and whistles with almost no miles for the same price!  So Saturday we went and bought it.  Even the extended warrenty was cheaper!  Nic was thrilled and insisted on driving everywhere with me!  So I'm into a new and sportier look for my new body!  Have a great day!  Paul

good morning everyone!!  paul, congrats on the new car!!!!  i would love to get something more economical but with 3 kids all still in some form of car seat or other, i'm not left with many options.  i have a minivan but its got all wheel drive so i'm lucky to get 17 mpg.  EEK!   well, its that time of the month for me!  heheh, wondering what i mean?  =)  i took my measurements this morning!  i've lost 14.75 inches!!!!  WOW!  thats over a foot of me gone!!  i'm super excited!  a bit confused since i'm still wearing my same clothes and they dont seem to be getting any bigger, but i remember that the first size is always the hardest to move out of.  but, once you do...look out!  the rest of them just fall away.   i'm super excited about the promise of beautiful weather this week!  i don't like heat and humidity.  yesterday was the picture of perfection for me (minus the small bursts of rain of course).  everyone have a great monday and don't work to hard! =) hopefully you can get out and enjoy some of this weather!!!

Congrats on the inches lost Christie!!  that's awesome.  May I ask the places that you measure?  I wish I would have done this from the start, but maybe it's not too late to start now right?

I know what you mean about the size thing too.  I am down 50 pounds and only 1 size...makes me crazy, but oh well, what can we do!

Good morning all. We will be on our way back a little later today. I am enjoying my first cup of coffee, have bfast, get moving and pack. But before we go we will sit on our deck and enjoy nature before we check out. We have a beautiful pine forest with glimpses of the river. I love to watch and listen to the birds. We will stop just north of Madison at our favorite winery, Wollersheim. We want to see their new remodeling of the building. Not sure how they could have improved the 100+ year old building. Hopefully it has not lost its charm. "see" ya all. Chris

Good morning Paul. I'm so excited for you with your new vehicle. I don't get much to the gallon either as I have a V8 engine and it eats the gas!! LOL. Not much going on. I'm going to have my 3 year labs for my RNY tomorrow. I'm taking the car in again to the dealer this afternoon, cause my air isn't working again. Darn that air conditioner!! I've done a lot of soul searching this weekend. I realized that in the past year, I've tried and to some extent put on my protective shell again in the form of weight because of being hurt by men who I dated . I guess in my feeble brain I was trying to protect myself from ever being hurt again. Now that I know this, I will work my way through it. I pray that God will watch over me and give me the strength to overcome this obstacle. It's a work week for me... No plans for the holiday weekend, other than a birthday get together on Sunday for my Mom. Wishing everyone a great day. Hugs, Lucy

Hi Monica. Thanks for your message. It's going to be a lot of hard work but it is worth it. I took my car to the dealer as my AC is on the blitz again. They can't find the leak. They gave me a loaner this afternoon. Right now I am nauseated. I don't know why?? Tomorrow I'm having my blood work done so I have to fast after 7:30 tonight. Love ya right back sweetie! Lucy

Good morning Paul and my Illinois family! Congrats on the new car...my husband did the same thing. He traded in our Equinox for a Cobalt. He really likes it. It was a nice ride for our trip to WV.  My sons eye infection has cleared up completely. Now he is waiting to see if he will close on his own home on the 3rd. Of course he's buying a house and mom has to run errands for him while he works. So if things go well my DH and I will be busy helping him get his house ready to move in this weekend. Doing laundry today....tomorrow I've got to get my blood work done for my 3 month doctors visit. I can't believe it has been almost 3 months since surgery. Time is flying by quickly. Have a great day everyone!
Carol
