Friday Roll Call

Well we've made it to Friday once again!   Not much here to report.  We have a busy weekend planned with trimming bushes and chores around the house.  Tonight we are going to take Nic to get a new bike.  He's 7 and the one he has is a bit small.  It's hard to go on family rides with him since the wheels are so small and no matter how hard he peddles, he's always moving slow.  We are going up to Michigan for a family vacation at the end of July and we do a lot of riding up there.  I want him to have the new bike broken in by then.  I'm looking forward to tomorrow's support group meeting at Centegra in Woodstock.  Hope to see some of you there!  Have a great day and a great weekend!  Paul

Good Morning Paul and Illinois Congratulations Paul....you are zippin thru that weight loss quickly!  You'll be putting the RNY people to shame!   LOL!  I know you have to be feeling really good too!  More energy? Not much going on here, just work and a little playing!  Christine, I hope you and Dave have a bunch of fun up in the Dells this week...I've heard the reports of how the lake looks now, my boss was up there last Sunday. Connie I love that new picture you posted on your profile...never did see it on the avatar, you look so slim in your face!   Younger too! Now where is my hoochie pal Lucy?   Just think we under 3 months from being out on that cruise!  Yippee! Went shopping last night and I got into a size 4.....so if I'm dreaming please let me sleep!  I never thought this would happen so soon, or ever!  But am so excited it has!  Dawn....I'm doing those iron pills I ordered from my surgeons website and I can tell a difference, they are made to break down in our pouches without stomach acids, let me know if you want more info on them. Christina have a good trip!!   Get some good rest!  Wish I could have made it last weekend!  Looks like I missed out! Everyone have a good day. Pam

Well, just got in from my run, saw deer munching grass on the golf course and was starting to get eaten by skeeters even though I had bug spray on. Going to be getting Dave up in a few as he is going golfing on that same course I saw the deer on. Need to drive him over to meet the others. It is too far to carry his clubs, about a 1/2 mile away. Going into town to meet up with one of our waitress friends and eat breakfast with her then over to Wally World to get walking in and then onto Kohl's then back to Chula to shop more. They have nice shops here in the resort also and you can catch some decent sales. Have most of the rest of the weekend planned out with the group we are with. Before that Dave and I will drive to meet up with my niece that lives down the street from us. They have a place up here on Castle Rock Lake. The weather is supposed to be crummy later today. Oh well we have a large inside waterpark. Chris

Good Morning Paul, and the rest of Illinois. After a crappy day yesterday, see previous post, today will be start over day. I am determined to lose the 2 pounds I gained this month, by Monday. Today for me will be major housecleaning. I haven't decided if I am working the back of the house forward, or the front back to the bedrooms. Then i want to start on a major cleanup of the yard ( trimming, cutting a few small branches that  are growing low on trees, decluttering, ect. ) . Of course, that may have to wait until tomorrow, but the plan is there. No other plans for the weekend. Have a great day, and a great last w/e of  June. Hugs

Good morning Paul ane the rest of my IL family, Paul don't work to hard in the yard get some rest too , I don't know how you do all the travling you do, it took me three day to recover from my trip last weekend, I could never do it as much as you do and still fuction  at home, Lisa hope today is better for you, Pam on your size 4, you have done a great job, I can only dream of a size 4,  Christine sounds like you and Dave are having a good time, For me today going to Rockford shopping with a friend, Yesterday we went swimming and that was fun and good exercise for me, I got a little pink from the sun but not to bad, I did get a call from my Sister IN Law yesterday evening and her Cancer is back, she was only Cancer free for 2 months so she is back on Chemo again, Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she fights this again,

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois! I am working today, then picking up the kids from the museum to run back home and get ready for "Stoheta", our marching band show that we help out with.  Olivia will work in the consession stand (due to her bee sting allergy), David in the lemonade stand, Todd selling 50/50 tickets, and I will supervise the lemonade stand.  I am hoping to get away with NOT actually making lemonade as the past three years, I have come home from this event covered in sugar.  (Some people might think that is a good thing......)  I hope the rain let's us get the show in.......pray for a break from 7 to 10. Todd and David and the other Scouts are helping to build a playground at a local church tomorrow and LIv and I will start getting ready for our trip next week.  We may have to visit the local consignment shop to make sure we have all we need.  Riley is coming over tomorrow afternoon to spend the night so her mom can go out with girlfriends. That's about it for our neck of the woods. Everyone who is traveling, please do so safely, and enjoy your vacations......mine is coming up soon!

Tell someone that you love them!

Happy Friday my friends!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and that negative things are in the past!

Pam, I can't even imagine a 4! Congrats!

I have an MRI today on my knee and then a meeting at work which will probably annoy me. I plan to knit this afternoon which will calm the annoyance. See I'm learning to plan how not to eat over things.

Tonight is a dinner at Giovanni's for the medical residents who are finishing and going into private practice. This is always a lovely event and the salmon at that restaurant is marvelous!
