Good Morming IL - It's starting to rain in my neck of the woods.  It should be busy day at work as we have auditors in the rest of the week.  Got to love that!  So, another sad day yesterday in the world of Bakers Square.  I got notice that they closed the location I worked at and several other in the Chicaoland area.  Calvin's location is still open but it's just a matter of time.  On a positive note, Calvin did have a 2nd interview yesterday that went very well and when we return from vacation, they want him to work a day w/ one of the training stores.   I saw Dr. Rosens team yesterday.  I was dreading it.  I love them all so very much but did not want to face them and tell them I had fallen off track.  Maybe not as bad as I thought but I do have to walk the straight and narrow if I want to continue to lose or even maintain.  It does not get any easier as time goes by.  I think it has gotten harder.  I knew I had been relaxed with my food intake and exercise. I've gained 13lbs since my foot surgery back in November and I have no one to blame but myself.  So I'm back to 218.   After talking to everyone from Dr. Rosens office I feel like today is a new day and I'm going to beat this.  I'm going to be the one that has to struggle for the rest of my life.  It sucks but it's reality. I will be sending in food logs once I return from vacation and I have one on one with the fitness trainer.  I have a 1mo check up w/ Dr. R on 7/24,  They are soo good to me.  They really want us to succeed.  Enough about me.  What's going on with you?   Hope everyone has a great day! Christina

Good morning Christina and everyone! I am glad you left your appt feeling positive!  Sorry to hear about work.  Good luck to Calvin on the 2nd interview!  I am just getting ready for work as usual.  Its getting pretty dark here, I imagine it will rain soon.  I will probably run into the rain on the way to work.  Makes for a wonderful comute on 294.  I have my follow up appt with the GI doc today, hopefully that will go well.  I have do all the packing for our camping trip tomorrow.  My husband and kids are leaving in the morning and me, my mother and my 4 yo will head out after I get off work tomorrow.  I am looking forward to a fun weekend.  Have a great day everyone!   Michelle

Hi Michelle - Hope the commute was not too bad.  Good luck w/ your GI doc today. I'm in the packing process too.  I'm about down to counting the minutes until vacation.  LOL  I can't wait but a little fearful of what will have happen at work while I am gone.  All hell seems to break loose everytime I'm out for any period time. Have a great day! Christina

For me not much going on. No rain here yet but I am sure it will come. Hope everone has a great day.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Hi Janet - As far as the regain.. I have no one to blame but myself.  It's just a good reminder that this is a "tool" and you have to use your tool properly.  Just glad I had the courage to go talk to my dr instead of avoiding him and the problem.  It was really easy in the beginning but it's quite a challenge today.    One day at a time. Good morning Christine and Illinois! It's raining here too! Hopefully it will not last all day. Tonight I'm going to the gym.  They  are supposed to come and repair the entranceway today and put in new asphalt, and Thursday and Friday sealcoat the parking lot. I guess that will depend on the weather.  Quick update on my BIL John: The oncologist got the results from the MRI in regards to the abnormal bone scan and they are suspicous for bone cancer in the spine. In two weeks they will do a bone biopsy. Biopsy of the tumor they removed and the eye biopsy have not come back yet. Thanks again for your prayers. Christine, I'm glad  Calvin's 2nd interview went well. Michelle, I hope it's not raining wherever it is that you will be camping. Good luck with your GI appointment. Janet, hope you enjoy your day! Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Christina and the rest of Illinois! I am glad that Calvin had a good 2nd interview and will be starting something new after vacation. I'm glad that your appointment went so well and you are feeling more positive.  You CAN do it!!!  I understand the "strugle for life" that you are referring to, and it DOES suck! I think that it is raining a bit here, it is very dreary. I am at work at the moment, but I will be leaving at about 8:45 to take Liv to the doctor.  She has a couple of scrapes and a boil that are infected and someone reminded me last night about the dreaded MRSA infections that can be really dangerous, so we are going in for a look and hopefully a test.  I always figure we can't be too careful, and we are going on vacation at the end of next week to the U.P. northwoods, and I want to get her recovered before then so that nothing happens while we are away. Besides that bit of excitement, not too much else going on.  David enjoyed his first day working at the museum and he shaved for the first time last night too! I'd better get what work I can finished before I leave.  I'll let you know how it all turns out.......
