Good morning, I'm up early working I will pray for you Christina....you CAN do this!  Just think about all you have gotten through to get to this point.  Get ready for tommorow, then do something distracting like watch a favorite movie or 2.   What time are you supposed to be at the hospital tomorrow.  Are you an outpatient or staying overnight? I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 a.m. procedure at 7:30 a.m.  I am staying overnight.  My doctor makes everyone stay overnight.    Thanks for everything Lynne

Good morning Lynne and the rest of Illinois. A good time was had by all last night at Christina's. For those that were unable to come, there will be more meet and greets. Not to much on my plate today, just some laundry and grilling out for dinner.  My pantry needs to be reorganized, so I may start on that this morning. My daily goal is to do one thing that needs to be done, but not everyday. (such as a closet or even one kitchen cabinet).  The pool is calling me for this afternoon.  It looks to be a sunny ,warm  June day. Enjoy it. Hugs

I am still in Madison at the National Women's Music Festival. Our workshop yesterday drew 30 people! It was such fun! We have visited with friends, made new ones, even met someone who might go to our WLS  support group! We have friends here we met in a hotel in San Francisco in '93 and we have seen them every year since at festival. We just pick up as if we had seen each other every week instead of every year. I just love this event!

We missed you all at Christine's, but hopefully we will be at the next one!

Hi Lynne. We sure did have a great time at Christina's yesterday. The weather was perfect! I finally got to meet Janet K. and Paulette. I'm sure that you will get through today. You're doing a wonderful job getting through your preparations for surgery. I am  proud of you! You're well on your way to a brand new life. I'm so excited for you. Many, many days of wonderful discoveries. You are in my prayers for a successful surgery and outcome. I'm  getting together with my sister today for a family day. Tomorrow's it's to the car dealer to find out why my air conditioner isn't working after spending over $600.00 to get it repaired a week ago. God Bless!! Lucy

Good morning Lynne and Lincoln land..., Lynne, I'll be thinking about you and praying for you during your surgery tomorrow, but know you'll come through fine.  Is there someone who can update us on how you're doing?  We had a great time at Christina's yesterday...it was so nice to meet people in person and get to know them on an individual level.  Everyone is as fantastic in person as on the OH board, however the aviatar pictures don't really give you an idea of how amazing their weight loss is.  They were all so encouraging to me on this journey and of course I asked lots of questions, which everyone is so patient with. I'm jealous that you will soon be on the losers bench and I have to wait yet.  I am sending a special angel to watch over you .  Paulette

Best of luck to you tomorrow Lynne!!! All I can say is hold on, as it can be an amazing journey and to celebrate every little milestone and accomplishment like there is no tomorrow.  Some of these will make you laugh with amazement, and others will have you crying in disbelief. My hubby and I both had a wonderful time at Christina's, and can not wait until the next one to meet more people.  Having friends was always something I had a problem with, as being military you would make friends and then leave.  So, this has been I think the longest I have had friends without losing contact.   My day yesterday was marked by one of those WOW moments that brings you to tears.  When I had surgery, it was my goal to be able to wear my wedding ring again.  Well, I am almost 6 months out (next saturday is my surgiversary) and while it is just a little too snug, I was able to put my wedding ring on for the first time in 13 years.  With our 15 year wedding anniversary coming this October, we will be purchasing new rings to go for another 15 years. On another note, I am a huge NASCAR and NHRA (drag racing) fan.  I came home to find that Funny Car driver Scott Kalitta had died in a crash.  His father Connie (the bounty hunter) was one of the best top fuel drivers of the day.  While both sports are exciting, they are dangerous and make you stop to think how to live life to the fullest and to savor the thrills of victory, and how to never take defeat as an answer and to keep trying. Well, everyone have a good day, as I am now off to finish my finals up.  PS, I will have my daughter take a picture and update my avatar.
