WOW moment

Question?  What do you get when you combine RNY with a week stay in the hospital?     Give up? Weight loss of approximatley 9 lbs.  See my ticker below of 72 lbs gone I now have a scale saying 180 lbs and I now weigh less than my hubby for the first time in 13 years.    I am now only 20lbs away from my personal goal weight of 160 lbs which is what I weighed when I met my hubby.  My hospital stay also had me a little constipated, so it took almost 4 doses of MOM  to get things moving again.

Congratulations of the WOW moment, even though it was a crappy way to get there...... Good luck on the next 20 pounds, and I hope you find an answer soon.

As much as I would love to lose 9lbs in a week, ummmm, I'll pass on a hospital stay!  Congrats and I'm still praying they figure out your pain. Christina

Hi Wendi. That news is doubly good. Usually you gain weight while in the hospital because of all the fluids they give you. That happened to me when I had my strangulated hernia, had the surgery and gained 20 pounds!! Yes, that happened to me.... I cried and cried..... I had to be readmitted because I had so much pain, then the weight came off and even lost more through the whole ordeal. Go figure that one . Well, at least you got something good out of your pain and misery,,, not the best way though... Hope you get your answers soon! Hugs, Lucy

I looked down after my shower and realized I could see my feet for the first time in a couple of years.  Hope I'm not being redundant, I posted this already but I think it was on another board.  Anyway, NSV!!! Yay.  My friend here at work who had gastric bypass (open) several years ago has been such a big help with advice, he was the first person I told.  Isn't it a great feeling when you start getting those tangible results? Dawn:  That was a "groaner".  Pun definitely intended.
