PS was a drug user?? Dr Roberg refund my money!

Ok, I was scheduled for my tt on 5/14/08 and the night before I got a call and said my PS had a family emergency and they cancelled my surgery.  I was so upset.  SO...I find out in the paper a few days later that my surgeon was busted trying to get Oxycotton from a drugstore under a dead persons name!  Ok, so now I am really mad (his office staff bullcrap lines) and upset about the situation...that they still owed my $10,300.  I have been trying to get my money back from them since the surgery was cancelled, I finally got a check for $5000 last week.  The office manager, if that what you want to call her is the biggest liar I have ever talked to in my life. (Geri)  She told me to come on Monday - 2 days ago - and pickup the other $5300 in a check and when I got there at 9:30 am no one was there.  (This is after telling me Care Credit was the problem with my credit for over a week)  Since then, no one has been back to their office.  Yesterday, I see in the paper again an article about how he has gotten over 5000 pills of Oxycotton under his dead mother-in-laws name...what an idiot!  So I have been talking to Care Credit about my situation since this happened and hopefully they will refund my account or I guess I will have to contact my lawyer.  So I guess I am saying, do not go to Dr. Roberg's office in Crystal Lake , and I am never paying upfront for plastic surgery in full until my surgery is complete so I never have to deal with this crap again.  Sorry I just really needed to vent!  Jenny

OMG!  aren't you at least glad that you discovered all this before he operated on you?  what if he completely screwed your body up?  wow!!  sorry that your having such a hard time getting your $$ back though.  thats rough!!  hopefully it will be cleared up quickly for you.  best of luck!!!

Here is the thing, I know three different people who have had surgery by him, 1 in the last three months and their surgeries look perfect.  The scars so tiny.  But, YES, I am so thankful that I didn't get the surgery now because he has probly been on drugs the entire surgery time.  SCARY!

Hope you get your money back soon....but as Christie said...be glad he didn't do your surgery.

WOW...he did my breast reduction in August of 2000 and he did a great job and it was all paid by insurance....I hope you get the money back..

Another thing about him, I was working (bartender) and met a girl who had a reduction by him and he cut some nerve and now she has to go to Loyola to get some kind of shock treatment so she regains the use of her right arm.  It is sad, I really liked him and trusted him 100%. 

hey the office manager geri did she have bypass surgery and a tt by a different dr? My dr old office manager spelled her name that way and she moved to that area I think? I had a 50/50 opionion about her when she with my dr.

I'm not sure, she was average height, blond and thin.  She was very...very nice, the too nice type.  She was a complete bull****ter!  Anyway, she was only there a short time because of the quack doctor.  I am so mad still. 

So sorry you had to deal with that better to find out now before he had you under the knife! Hope you get all your money back without a huge fight!! I don't think she is the same person though dee
