Reminder - Get Together / Meet & Greet

Hello Everyone - Calvin and I are hosting the meet and greet at our home this Saturday and would love to see our old friends and meet ,many new. If you don't already have plans, why not come join your IL family.  We are all on this journey together.  Support is a big key to your wl success. I went to doctor this morning and he told me not to lift anything and to keep my pain patches on everyday.  I am still having a hard time..I am depressed...until I got home and found Chris's e-mail...yah they are going to pick me up..her and Dave...I am just thrilled to be getting a chance to go somewhere.  I just called my daughter and she will be taking care of Johnny, my DH.  Because he can't be left alone.  He is so happy for me..he is such a good man.  I am looking so forward to a day out and to meet everyone. My spirits have been lifted with the many Graces from God I recieved through Chris & Dave.  God Bless all of you who have intervened to help me out. How often do these meet and greet get togethers take place? I am new to all this and the IL forum. Hello and nice to meet all of you. Is this just for RNY or lapbanders as well?

Hello and Welcome to the IL Board!  Everyone is welcome, pre-op, post-op and whatever surgery you have chosen to have.  We are all here to support one another regardless of what surgery. We have had four get togethers so far and I hope we are able to set something up more frequently.  It just depends on who is willing to coordinate something.  Everyone has busy lives so it's hard to say how frequently we can get together. If you don't already have something planned for Satruday, by all means, come to the meet and greet.  If you are interested, please send me a pm and I'll send you my address and phone number.
