Lucy, you probably will not even fill the needles for your fill. He shoots the area with novacaine first, then fills. It takes all of 2 minutes. (Of course, you are laying there looking into his eyes the whole time) On the serious side, you may not get restriction with the first fill, it can take a lot more.  Hugs

Oh, Lisa I am so disappointed, I got a  message yesterday that I have to reschedule my appointment... I could cry!  I wasn't home until late last night so I couldn't call the office. I will be calling them first thing this morning... He's going on vacation next week... I'm going to try to see if I can see him tomorrow at Elk Grove Village... Thank you so much about telling me how he does the fill. I was kinda scared of it. Hugs, Lucy

Lucy,  I promise you that if any thing that fill kinda tickles. I was scared to death when I had to get mu first and I never felt anything! I actually looked forward to my next fill after that.  Now the fill I got last Thursday kind pinched, I can only think its because I might be getting some stomach muscle, go figure me with muscle...LOL Do follow the drs rule for liquids the first 24 hrs after then try mushies to solids...It helps the swelling go down from the injection. I have lost 4 pounds since I got my fill Thursday...Good luck!! Karen

Hi Karen. Thanks for filling me in on the process. I know a lot more about RNY than lapband, so this is all so new to me. I have to wait..... as I got a message that I have to reschedule my appointment. I'll keep you posted. Hugs, Lucy

Good Morning Lisa and the rest of my old and new IL family!

I am so glad to see so many new faces here...I hope that we will get to meet everyone one day.

Yes the sun is shining and I am going to make this a good day. Somehow, someway.  This morning Jacob and I are taking Tyler to the high school so he can start his weight training program for football and since it's only an hour and the high school isn't close, Jake and I are going t walk around the track while we wait for him.  My choices were, bring a book and sit or walk around the track.  Well I chose the latter because I really want to get this weight loss moving.

After that it's dropping Jacob off at a friend's house for the afternoon and taking Tyler for a haircut.  Then home to brush out my hairy dogs and do some homework.  6pm I will pick up Jacob.  Relax after that.

I think I over did the weights a little myself yesterday at the gym, my arms are a little sore today, but not horrible.  I just want to be careful.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys the sun while it lasts....

Monica

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois! I am working today, then either at lunch or after work need to go to Dick's or some other sports store and get rain gear for David's trip to Isle Royale next week, and some softball sliding pads (?) for Liv. She LOVES her new volunteer job at the museum.  She was very excited and feeling all grown up yesterday when I picked her up.  The highlight for her seemed to be the fact that they have a refrigerator and microwave for her lunch and she can eat in the "Staff Lounge" if she wishes.  I am very happy for her and proud of her.   I DO feel bad for her though because she got sunburned on Saturday at the air show and last night, it started to blister.  I did not realize how serious it was.  It is very painful for her.  Thankfully, it is only in a relatively small area around her neck where she missed with the sunscreen.  If it had been all over, she would possibly need medical care. I am kind of missing David and he's only been gone since Sunday.  He will be home for a few hours this coming Saturday, then off again for another week.  The house is much quieter with only one child. Riley's 2nd birthday is Saturday and I am making the cake.  The theme is "Happy Feet" and I am going to attempt to put "Mumbles" on it.  Wish me luck! It is sunny but hazy here (to the west) so everyone enjoy this great weather while it lasts!

I hope Liv is not feeling too much pain. Been there done that. OUCHIE! On a side note. Just wanted to touch base with you and confirm the date that I had committed to memory for Rock City Day - Saturday the 19th. Is this correct?  Happy B-day little Riley. Is she still such a cutie? Chris

Hi Christine! Yep!  A Day in Rock City is Saturday, July 19th!   Everyone is welcome to come on out to the small town!!!  If enough of you come out, you are welcome to be in the parade.  Heck.....you are welcome to be in the parade anyway! Riley is getting cuter all the time.  I think I just put a new picture on my profile from the airshow.  If not,,,,I will!

Good, I remembered correctly. Dave just made arrangements with another girl to not have to serve at church on that day. I will look at the pic a little later. Chris

Good morning Illinois, I hope everyone has a great day! The sun is shinning here, so I'm off to the vegie garden to weed and plant the rest of the onions. Earl is going to tackle the tall grass in the backyard, hope he doesn't get lost in it!  Later I'm off to my daughters to transplant Hostas. she has some she wants taken out so I'll bring them here and plant a few across the street by my neighbor. Enjoy the nice weather....hope it lasts.  Paulette
