Tuesday Roll Call

Good mornig Christine and the rest of my IL family. That is so sad about lake Delton , I am glad that when we went to the dells last week that I got to see the Ski show it was the first time I have seen it and it was great, For me not much going on thing are a little up in the air with the HD and my self , but I sure we will be working everything out, We always do,, Hope everyone has a great day .

A T T I T U D E    

 There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror,  and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.  'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'   So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror  and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.  'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'   So she did and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed  that she had only one hair on her head.  'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going  to wear my hair in a pony tail.'  So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. 'YAY!' she exclaimed.  'I don't have to fix my hair today!'

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.                   

Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.......   Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

Good morning Chris and my Illinois friends! I am working today and we have been kind of busy, so I did not post a recipe yesterday.  Christie took care of you all....thank you Christie!!!! Liv starts her volunteer job at the museum today, and she was very excited this morning.  I hope it goes well for her. I posted a couple of pictures from the air show for anyone who is interested.  I NEVER would have even asked that pilot for a photo, let alone been comfortable talking to him 2 years ago...... I am glad to see that we have ever more new friends joining us!  That is really good. On another note, please say a quick prayer for my oldest daughter, Amber.  She has a lump in her breast and the doctor did not like the answer that the mamogram "was probably ok".  The doctor wants her to see a surgeon about a biopsy.  I just went through this a month ago, and I have fibrous breasts, so let's hope it is nothing........ Thanks to all who think of us, and have a spectacular, sunny day!

Amber is in my prayers, trust me I know what she is going through, I was just there last month!  Praying that the lump is nothing...like mine is!! 

Thanks honey! I did not have a biopsy, but I DID have the quick mamogram/ultrasound and know the anxiety she is going through.  I also know that most lumps are really nothing, but prayers are always helpful!

Good morning to all!! I think its time for me to reply to these roll calls. Usually when I go online and check the roll call, my 2 year old is grabbing everything off the desk and its hard for me to type and play with her. But, she is still sleeping this monring!!!  Today is my 11 year olds last day of school!!! I can not believe that she will be in the 6th grade this fall!!!! OMG where has the time gone!?! She will be home in about 30 minutes and then we are going to clean the house for a bit and head to the pool!! I had my 1st WOW moment at the pool last weekend. I actually looked pretty good in my bathing suit!! (just as long as I did not raise my arms...saggy skin) I did not walk by my mirror and say "YUK" outloud when I saw myself. I also fit into a normal tube for the lazy river!!! I used to get double tubes and always felt so huge in the pool!! I am just so happy with my RNY and Dr. Rantis saved my life on March 21, 2008 and now its up to me to live life to the fullest!!! You are ALL my inspiration!!!  My husband is out of town for 12 days and we are trying to keep busy here. I am just gald that the rain is holding on for a few days here in Mundelein. I am hoping to get outside today and mow the lawn too. Its amazing the amount of things that I can do in a day since having my RNY. Good Morning Everyone! Happy Tuesday.. Just another work day for me.  I do have to take my brother in law to Midway right around rush hour which should be loads of fun.  I will probably have to go back to work after my trip to the airport..  I'm very behind since I took a few days off.  It should be a big mess when I leave for NC in two weeks.  Not many team players around this joint. Hey Everybody!  I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately.  But I've been busy thinking about all of you, my wonderful support family!  I am in Phoenix on business this week, Boston was last week and next week we are vacationing in Tucson (Liz and Meredith will join me out here!).  I will probably have limited posts next week.  I hope Barry is okay.  He hasn't posted in almost a month!  Unfortunately, we don't get back home until late on the 21st, so we won't be able to attend the gathering.  I had a really nice time at the last one!  I'm down about 27 pounds from my highest weight, so I want to show off.  Maybe we'll host a gathering later in the summer.  I'm actually at a good half way point between our Chicago folks and our Rockfor folks!  Our pool is open and Liz and I were in it on Sunday.  My chemicals are basically balanced but my water is slightly cloudy.  That should clear quickly.  I'll talk to Liz and we can set a date and start the planning!  Still, I wish I could be there this Saturday!  I have my first fill scheduled for the 25th!  I'm noticing that I am eating a lot more this week over last (still a very small amount compared to before my surgery), so I'm not seeing a whole lot of scale movement.  But I know it's a process that takes patience.  Traveling for work means eating in restuarants every day, and that gets boring.  I eat less than a third of what I order and that just seems wasteful.  Not all that much I can do about it.  Last week I was in Boston and I ended up having clam chowder for almost every meal!  I t was very tasty, but it got old very quickly!!!  Well, I'm off to work.  Have a great day!  Paul

Good to "see" you Paul!  You sure are busy!  I'm not sure I would like traveling for work, though seeing different places would be nice. 

That stinks that you and Liz won't make this next gathering, I missed Lucy's and was hoping to get to meet you and Barry at this one.  Like you said, Barry is missing though, I hope he's okay.  Someday I will get to meet you guys.  You are an inspiration to me and always have kind words.  thank you!
