Monday Roll Call
Good morning friends!
I have already been to the local hospital for a mammogram, then the Postal Shoppe to mail some clothes to my daughter and send some protein to a bandster in Oregon. Then I went out for coffee followed by yogurt and still got to work at 8:30. It feels like noon to me! I got a new phone on Friday and brought all the guides to work to figure it out since it is mostly for work. I got a Voyager after looking at a lot of phones. This has a GPS and web access and a full keyboard. I know I will enjoy it after I figure it out. I had a razr but it never held the charge. It was a small phone, but incredibly annoying! I will have an adventure with this one I think.
I think we will have rain all day from the looks of things here. One of the ceiling tiles in the cafeteria is on the floor due to the rain and another looks like it is minutes away from joining the first. I'm glad that isn't my job today. Stay dry folks!

Good morning Carol & the rest of Illinois!
I am back at work after a long weekend of AirFest fun! We "worked" Friday night and that turned out to be no work at all. We just had to stick kind of close to the "MIles Ahead" booth where I got 1 person to sign up! The Boy Scouts did a great job in the Opening Ceremonies on both Friday night and Saturday morning. We enjoyed the show most of Saturday during the day, then at the end, the Thunderbirds' show was cut a bit short due to the storm that came through. We then went up to the terminal to help with the VIP party. That again was not really "work". Due to the storm, we were late in arriving so most of the set up was done. My main job was to meet, greet and welsome the VIPs and pilots. The theme was "A day at the Beach" so we welcomed them Hawaiian style with leis. SO.......I had a GREAT time lei-ing the hunky pilots!!!!! Todd even took pictures! I will post a couple as soon as I get the chance.
David left for National Youth Leadership Training early yesterday morning and Liv starts her volunteer job tomorrow at the Discovery Center Museum.
I am looking forward to the get together and meeting lots of new (and not-so-new) friends there.
I need to get back to my real job now.......so everyone have a splendid day!
