Good morning friends!

I have already been to the local hospital for a mammogram, then the Postal Shoppe to mail some clothes to my daughter and send some protein to a bandster in Oregon. Then I went out for coffee followed by yogurt and still got to work at 8:30. It feels like noon to me! I got a new phone on Friday and brought all the guides to work to figure it out since it is mostly for work. I got a Voyager after looking at a lot of phones. This has a GPS and web access and a full keyboard. I know I will enjoy it after I figure it out. I had a razr but it never held the charge. It was a small phone, but incredibly annoying! I will have an adventure with this one I think.

I think we will have rain all day from the looks of things here. One of the ceiling tiles in the cafeteria is on the floor due to the rain and another looks like it is minutes away from joining the first. I'm glad that isn't my job today. Stay dry folks!

good morning everyone!!!!  i'm back and we all survived the wedding.  it was a beautiful service and my girls were really quite adorable.  they did their job very well!  my sister in law was gorgeous!  she's very petite so i knew she'd be great in anything!  she can make a potato sack look good. =)  as far as my eating went, i did alright.  i had a couple things that i knew i'd be mad at myself for later, but i didn't go crazy!  i did it all with moderation so i'm not beating up too badly.  i had 2 drinks and about 1/3 piece of cake.  otherwise it was about 2 bites of filet and half of the chicken breast and i was done.  i'm still doing well with the moderation thing.  i was surprised to see my scale went up 4 pounds after it all though.  i'm thinking it was water though because i swelled horribly!  and my eating wasn't consistent.  i didn't do any protein drinks and was eating maybe 2 small meals the whole day.  not good!  so, today its back to the program.  =) i'm ready for this humidity and rain to go away.  hope everyone has a great monday!!

Good morning Carol & the rest of Illinois!

I am back at work after a long weekend of AirFest fun!  We "worked" Friday night and that turned out to be no work at all.  We just had to stick kind of close to the "MIles Ahead" booth where I got 1 person to sign up!  The Boy Scouts did a great job in the Opening Ceremonies on both Friday night and Saturday morning.  We enjoyed the show most of Saturday during the day, then at the end, the Thunderbirds' show was cut a bit short due to the storm that came through.  We then went up to the terminal to help with the VIP party.  That again was not really "work".  Due to the storm, we were late in arriving so most of the set up was done.  My main job was to meet, greet and welsome the VIPs and pilots.  The theme was "A day at the Beach" so we welcomed them Hawaiian style with leis.  SO.......I had a GREAT time lei-ing the hunky pilots!!!!!    Todd even took pictures!  I will post a couple as soon as I get the chance.  David left for National Youth Leadership Training early yesterday morning and Liv starts her volunteer job tomorrow at the Discovery Center Museum. I am looking forward to the get together and meeting lots of new (and not-so-new) friends there. I need to get back to my real job now.......so everyone have a splendid day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning everyone! I am kicking myself today, because I kept my older boys home from school! lol Since the middle of the week, all 3 boys have passed this fever and stomachache around. They all slept most of the day yesterday, but were doing great last night. Well, my normally early risers needed to be woken up this moring, but when I went to wake them, they still felt a little warm, so I decided to let them sleep. Now they are full of energy, and back to the normal fighting... not fun! I just put in the Bee Movie, so I have an hour and a half of peace. I'm not doing much today, just trying to make sure I get in my fluids. I started adding in some foods this weekend, and I am finding it hard to get in enough fluids for the day since I am too full. It's also hard to do this with 3 little ones, I NEED to make time for myself, but I have been very bad at that.  After my hubby gets home, I am going to take my oldest to Karate, since he is obviously feeling up to it, then we need to go to the store to get some birthday treats for his class, and flowers for one of his aides. They are celebrating his b-day in class tomorrow since his actual b-day is August 10th, and one of his aides had found a new job, so tomorrow will be her last day. One more thing.... We are hearing to the Shedd this weekend since they are going to have a free admission week. I will only be 2.5 weeks post-op, so the majority of my foods are still cooked. Any suggestions on what to do for the day???

Hi Jessica, It sure is not easy having 3 sick children. I hope they are all feeling better tomorrow. If your on soft foods and like tuna, I usually carry the tuna in foil packets with me when going places that I don't know what the menu is going to be. They have different flavors. I like the lemon pepper, spicy and garlic herb flavor. Hope that helps.
