Tuesday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois! I have been MIA for a few days since my computer at home was not working because the cable was out. I had a great weekend with graduation parties on Saturday and planting on Sunday.  Yesterday, I went up to have my blood checked, hoping for an infusion, but no such luck.  The hematologist said that my blood looks good, and I may not need an infusion until December.  That is all fine and dandy, but what about the constant fatigue and coldness????  He did not really have a clue, decided to run a Thyroid panel and said that some people that have surgery just get chronic fatigue.  For some people, it goes away over time, and others stay tired.  Wonder which one I will be???? I went to the airport last night for training to volunteer at the AirFest this weekend and it sounds like it will be fun.  They really treat the volunteers well, I'm sure we will continue to do it in the future.  Plus, my sone wants to be a Blue Angel, so he is very interested in these shows.  He will finally be old enough to volunteer himself next year.   Another cool thing about the AirFest is that Todd's Boy Scouts get to to the Opening Cermonies on both Friday night and Saturday morning.  They are very excited.  It looks like I will be at the airport most of this weekend.  I will be working at the Fly RFD booth on Friday night for anyone that is in the area and going to be there.  Stop by and say, "hi"!  Wish for good weather! Well that sounds like fun the AirFest....Is that all weekend?  Where?

Dear Lynne: The AirFest starts Friday night and goes through Sunday. Here is the link:  http://www.flyrfd.com/airfest.asp It is at the Chicago/Rockford International Airport here in Rockford.  We went last year and it was pretty cool so we volunteered this year.

Sounds like fun Dawn!  I just hope the weather is nice for you.  If I was out in that area we would go for sure, but Tyler has a normal ball game on Saturday at noon and then he was asked to play in the All Star game Saturday night....I am so proud of him and all his accomplishments already. 

 

An All Star Game already!?!  That IS pretty cool.  You should be proud. I am SO glad to hear that you are starting to feel more like your old self.......keep up the great work!

Our air show here was in April so the Blue ANgles could perform it is usually held in July the weekend of the 20th. This yr it was kinda cool out so I did not go, I stayed home and kept my youngest grandkid in! We did get to see it from a distance some though. My oldest grandson wants to be a pilot like his grandpa. (His dads---dad) He also wants to drive a semi like my hubby(his other gpa).

Not much going on here today but stormy and kids so we are working on a craft... Have a dry but great day ALL!!

Wow... it is really raining here.  I'm so chilled and can't get comfortable.  I left work to a few minutes ago, now home finishing up the last of Calvin's packing as I will be picking him up from work shortly and taking him to Midway.  He is flying to GA today, picking up a vehicle we bought from his step-brothers car dealership and driving it to MD for Amanda's graduation.  I will fly out on Thursday to MD to be there for the ceremony on Friday and party on Satruday, then back home on Sunday.  I'm ready for things to slow down. All is good with us.  Just busy, busy. Mark your calendars for June 21st..  It's party time! Christina 

I wish Calvin a safe trip today and you both at the end of the week.  Have fun and maybe it will be warmer! I am looking forward to your party, and hoping to be able to come, but I have not heard any details.  Am I missing something?

Hi Dawn - Thanks for the warm wishes for a safe trip.  I sure hope we have good weather as the party on Saturday will be mostly outdoors. I know I have been hit or miss lately.. It's been really hectic with work etc.  Calvin and I are having a get together on June 21st.. I have not really posted much more then that.  It will be a "bring a covered dish to share" and we do have some outdoor seating but if people want to bring lawn chairs that would be great.  It will start around 4ish...  Calvin has to work that day so he will not be home until around 5.   Let me know if you know of any activities.. I was thinking about hunting down a bing bag toss game. Talk to ya soon. Christina

Hi Il friend,

I have not been on in the last few days because I have been so busy!  I am having some issues w/ food and family stuff going on!  I will try to make the get together on June 21st.  I have a bago game that would be fun to play.  I can't wait to see Calvin!  How much weight has he lost?  Well, I'm going to bed soon.  I am going over to my parents house tomorrow w/ Maddie and cleaning thier house and doing more yard work for them.  They live on 3 acres and it is WAY to much for them now..it's nothing but a work farm.  It dosn't help that my dad was a professional landscaper and he has perenial gardens everywhere and they all need to be worked on and edged!!!  O-well..good exercise I guess.  What's that saying???  If life gives you lemons, then make lemonaid?  I should open a stand!!!!
