Okay, so I am officially entering my 2nd week of being banded.  I am officially down 14lbs and trying not to weigh myself everyday because it drives me bananans....but it's a bad habit. So, I was told that clear liquids one week and by 2nd week to go to full liquids.  Okay.....please tell me what some of you consider as full liquids....besides anything through a straw.  I mean did you do pudding, jello, etc?? I am doing protein shakes and this morning I had one by 7am and it is now 9am and I ravenous!!!  I could gnaw on my arm but that would not be a good idea.  I do know I have some restriction because if I eat pudding or jello as soon as I am done w/my cup I feel full. I did have some "liquafied" beans on Saturday and I added some sour cream and salsa like some of you have suggested and I was in heaven!! I licked my chops and was super, duper full from 1/2 a cup!!  ahahahahaha....who knew that broth, jello, pudding or beans could fill me up so fast!!   Well, I think I am getting to the "bored" stage where I would like to try a few different things but I want to be careful on the calorie consumption because I don't want to get used to doing the liquids because it is easier.  I keep hearing that many tend to stay on liquids for the protein and for the easiness of not having to cook or even chew everythign to oblivion. Also, one more question....getting the water down!!  I don't feel like I drink enough water w/protein but I know I do.  I think my fear is that even if I do wait 1/2 hour to an hour I am going to wash away what is in my pouch and I'll be hungry again because it will feel empty. I know this all crazy and maybe jibberish but I am really amazed at all the different answers  I already met some ppl who are on their second week and eating mushies like mashed taters and cottage cheese....is that possible?? Anywho......I'd like to know your thoughts.

Full liquids could be creamed soups and blended stuff like the beans you had. I did pudding then, but not everyone is OK with that. I made the pudding with protein in it. I did jello during the clear liquids. It is important to wait about an hour to drink the water and to get in the total amount of water. I know it's hard, but it will get easier soon.

Oh Connie, Thanks for your input, it is greatly appreciated!!  I had some cottage cheese today and I ate to fast and man did it HURT...HOLY MOTHER ON HIGH!!  I have some extreme tolerance to pain but this today was beyond horrible!!  I am learning to really eat super, duper slow and chew like a cow gnawing on cud....lovely visual there!!  I am going to have to get some protein poweder and put it in my jello, pudding and other stuff so I can get my much needed dosage!!  Ooh man I think a sugar free jello is calling my name!! Later tater!

I did the cream of chicken soup and melted in some cheddar cheese.  I also did cream of mushroom soup and melted in a slice of garlic and herb laughing cow light cheese.  I eat a lot of cottage cheese as it fills me up and gives me a good protein count with little calories.  yogurt is also good.  I take egg beaters and put the various laughing cow cheeses inside like a folded omlet.  I also use garlic and onion seasoning in the eggs to give them a different taste. Good luck.
